The good news is, if you’re good company, you’ll always find cold beer at T2S.

@Cruzer bring the RTIC for the cold beer and put the food and others in the fridge. Ice cold beer just hits better :drunk:

Do make a good point. Maybe I'll use that fridge space for a 10lb prime rib to cook in my bullet smoker :hungry:
The sucky part is that I'll be there from Monday through Friday noon, which is when most of y'all start to arrive

I’m coming Wednesday. SGU will be there all week. If the Bastrds make it, they’ll come for several days to make it worth the drive. You’ll meet a ton of cool people from all over, and you can get in on Cinders on Friday. Gonna be a great time!

Big Bear has a handful of yellow post sites scattered about, but no BLM land or group site capable of holding everyone. So booked sites in a campground it is. We’ve got every site in the place booked haha

 I just reread your post where you said T2S, but I had just come out the San G thread and got my wires crossed

Hell yeah! If I may, I would recommend you run Holcomb Creek. You’d have a good time

I want to get out to T2S but with my move coming up I’m iffy on if I’ll be able to make it.

Yup! That or John Bull. Both are awesome trails. Technically if you’re “cruising” you could knock out both in a day.

It was a couple years ago with Alex and Joon. I can't remember how the truck was built at the time. I'd have to go find the pics of me high centered on the huge turtle rock to determine what the state of the truck was.

I obviously haven’t done it in the Tundra yet, but did it in my Tacoma on 33” tires and mid travel.

Rear locker was a requirement. Big ass boulder, I hugged as tight to the wall as possible and with some luck was able to make it over without too much of a fight.

One day my Tundra will be ready for these trails. One day as in when my wallet allows it haha.

I would love to do Mottino Wash. Had to watch a bunch a videos to see if I can get passed the tight squeeze section - looks doable. Any Tundras do it yet?

    Dishpan looks fun too

Might have to plan out a separate trip to Big Bear at some point :bananadance:

Yeah… good info for another trip. This trip is as much about the party at San G as the great off-road possibilities. :drunk:

I notched the spare tire carrier to squeeze my secondary battery into place.

    2DE93AD4-A646-4D60-B65A-BBCC1C8C3453.jpg

Gonna have a buddy create a tray and figure out a way to secure it in place. Happy where it’s at. It’s very tucked in, the the battery is snug up against the underside of the bed and is using the spare tire mount and bed brace to prevent forward/rear movement.

It's a sealed battery but :notsure: I wouldn't want to cross any water if it was deep enough to cover that battery, I'd be better off in a boat :D

Took apart my spare front diff to send out to a shop in Indiana that has agreed to make replicas of the stub shaft and differential sleeve made out of 300M alloy. Took me quite a while to find a shop that had the equipment to reverse engineer and make the stub shaft - the stub shaft is hollow in the middle to allow for the mating shaft to slip inside while allowing gear oil to escape out the other end.

The stub shaft will be a replica of the stock shaft. The differential sleeve I'm going to have the shop double the thickness around the splines. Even though the sleeve is being upgraded I think it will still be the weakest link in the front diff, which I will be ok with as it is much easier to replace than the stub shaft.

If these parts are able to handle how I wheel, then I will consider actually selling them, probably on eBay, since NOBODY has them (at least from the research I've done). The whole reverse engineering and building out a prototype is costing me several Dometic fridges - hence why I went cheap with the Amazon fridge
