Glad you didn’t get CB shackles.. they aren’t really needed with the RXT packs.. plus something most people don’t talk about is how fat those suckers are, they make it difficult or impossible to stuff a 35” tire under your bed.

I am running the Total Chaos 3/4” rear shackles with poly bushing, much cheaper than CB shackles and gave me just enough lift to sit level with my front end..

Best of luck with those UCAs.. had my fingers crossed you would end up on the Total Chaos after that post above.

All in all, you have a great set up.. now what tires and wheels are you thinking!?

I wanted to go total chaos but it was going to take longer for them to come in. They sell delta joint kits for the tubular icon UCAs so that's what I ended up with. Hopefully it'll get installed next weekend.

Understood. The issue with the Icon tubular UCA is not the joint, it’s the geometry. They are designed in a way to make it very difficult to get a decent amount of positive caster, which highly limits your ability to put larger tires on and get away from your body mount, or just get a good alignment once 35” or larger tires are installed.

Great... so maybe another call needs to happen. Is there a thread somewhere where people are discussing the problems they have with these ?

The conversations are kind of sporadic.. definitely present in the 37 Club thread as that’s where people are really pushing alignment limitations.

But it comes up fairly often in random threads..

    Can start with this

SPC makes some great shit. Can't really go wrong.

I ended up with Camburg Kinetik because i wanted additional adjustability and a more solid upper pivot for my suspension, reducing some of that squirm that bushing (rubber or poly) introduce into the system...as for alignment, I ended up with +8 Caster, -.1 Camber, .05 toe in....

Damn, I literally just called them and committed to the Icon deltas, I'll call and swap back. My fear was I hadn't heard of them anywhere so wasn't sure about them.

I have the SPC on the wife’s sequoia. Have been great, just takes a knowledgeable shop to get them aligned perfectly since they are adjustable, but a good shop should be able to take care of you.. I don’t wheel the wife’s sequoia but they have been great so far

I have been running the SPCs for 3 year. They give me all the adjustability in the world and are super stout. Hey also provide tons of travel in a ballpoint configuration.

I’m pretty sure you were told the tubulars were a bad idea lol. But I highly doubt it’ll be a problem to switch your order. You’re paying them a shitload of money. They’ll figure it out.

I was, but I thought it was the ball joint that was the issue, spent time looking up different joint and saw deltas were good. Installer hasn't emailed back but I'll call tomorrow.

Figured I'd update this thread too since you guys helped me so much. Got the kit installed. Icon stage 8 with 2.5 coilovers in the front and 2.5 resi shocks in the rear with full RTX leaf swap and SPC UCAs to finish the package. I think it looks amazing. I like rake and this has more then I thought it would but I'm ok with it. I was at 39" from the ground before lift and haven't measured the new lift yet.

Alright guys, already have an issue, let me know if this is a big deal or not. When I take off from a dead stop the rear end hops a little. Not crazy just subtle like when you take off a little to hard on loose terrain and the rear end hops while trying to get traction. It does this on pavement and I've looked at the wheels in the mirror and it's not a traction issue. Is my axle twisting?

How does your drive shaft angle look? Did you do a carrier bearing drop with the lift?

I was told both carrier drop and diff drop were installed. I have not confirmed those though. I'll look under and see.

How long will it be before you get the back end loaded? You're really ass-high at the moment, so that's most likely going to need a bigger CB drop until you get it loaded.

I was planning on either getting a decked system or building a platform to attach my milwaukee packout boxes. Not sure which route yet but most likely 6-8 months out. What size drop should I be looking at getting?

I'm not sure, and I'm also not sure this is what is causing your wheel hop, but it's a place to start. You'd basically need to look at your CB and ballpark how far it would need to come down to be close to straight. Your suspension shop should be able to advise, I would think.

I'll follow up with them this afternoon. I asked before hand if a traction bar was needed and they said no. If that's the case I want to be hooked up on the labor on it. I told them with my work schedule I could only afford to come in once so I wanted it done right the first time.

Small update, looked under the Tundra to find no diff or carrier drop. Called shop and he says he doesn't know what happened but scheduled me for next Wednesday. Hopefully that cures my shuddering. I asked what size the carrier drop is but he didn't know and said they are all about the same size. This obviously can't be the case if the size of the lift determines the angle of the driveshaft. I'll see what it feels like after Wednesday and go from there. Already looking at traction bar just in case.
