    Should have thought about wearing goggles or even moving over to the side while drilling. But I was just wearing my glasses.

    Would have been smarter too if I had some more clearance (i.e. using my rhino ramps or even jacking it up).

    I'm all good though, it was aching a bit this morning, but popped a few ibuprofen and I'm at work. Fiance was frightened with all the blood coming out. May have given myself about an inch gash next to my eye. Luckily, I didn't hit my eye.

    I used swival sockets for those hard to reach bolts. If I were you I'd buy a few more drill bits as you will burn through the only one you have after the first couple holes.

    What bits do yall recommend getting? Also, do you think I can drill all of the holes with a cordless drill or should I get a wired drill? My drill doesn't seem to work the best with long durations of drilling.

    I used a cordless and regret it. The holes just take a lot of time for each one. As for bits, someone recommended Milwaukee Shockwave I think, but hopefully others chime in on that. The Dewalt ones I had sucked for this project.

    I'd buy 5 or 6 of the cheapest ones you can find. Your going to want a corded drill for this. I'd also recommended you go 1/16 larger on your holes and paint them prior to installing the bolts to prevent rust.

    As far as paint, I used rust bullet. It works fantastic and will be hard as a rock once dry.

    Hahaha, well if you really want to be safe and not end up like me, get a hammer drill with a side handle. That’ll give you more stability when you drill.

    If you guys watch on YouTube, the “Kino the Tundra” guy uses his jack and a hammer drill to make a drill press while drilling the holes into the frame.

    A beer would have been nice LOL. Well I got it installed. The only issue is the last driver side bolt.

    There’s a rivet nut in the way of the plate, causing the 1-1/2inch G8 bolt not to be able to reach…

    PRO DC or CM?

    So this is from the bottom angle, but this is the last bolt on the driver side. It’s extremely close to the driver side rear cab mount to where a 19mm wrench won’t even be able to turn it tight. I had to use a long needle nose plier in order to tighten it and even then, I’m sure it’s not tightened down all the way.

    Unless if you guys know any tools able to tighten this bolt in an extremely tight spot, let me know!

    Also, the bottom bolt for this exact same side ended up being slightly short to where it won’t reach the threads of the plate… so I have to find either a 2” or 2.5” at HD.
