I know @Sunnier already covered what that emoji means, but here's a tip for future reference.... I mainly browse the forum on my desktop, hover the mouse cursor over the emoji and it will tell you the name of it. I just tried it on my phone, I know many of you browse on mobile devices, and it's a little different but also gives you the name of it when you press on the emoji for a couple of seconds.

You mention that you're cool with factory height, not looking to lift. Keep in mind the HD rear springs will result in some lift over what you have. My experience was an initial 1.5" lift in the rear after replacing my leaf springs with a HD pair. I haven't checked lately but they seemed to have settled a 1/4" lower since then.

Another thing I want to point out is you have a 2WD, correct? I also have a 2WD and the correct HD leaf spring replacements for 2WD are 90-287HD, not the 90-211HD that you linked. Please verify, but the leaf springs for the 4WD are different than for the 2WD. Whether or not they will still fit, I don't know.

With that said, if you don't want the lift from the HD leaf springs, you can opt for OEM replacements which will be exactly the same as stock, 3/1 leaves instead of the 4/1 leaves of the HD. As mentioned, I went for the HD and don't regret it one bit, it ride's great.

Thank you for this. I didn't see it on their site so I emailed them to ask this very question.

I wonder if they've changed this. The "2000-2006 Toyota Tundra" page only has one non 4x4 option, the 90-221HD. None of the options on that page show 90-287HD.

Will check out your install for sure!

Give 'em a call to verify, I went through the same scenario and wound up getting the 2WD HD springs from ATS. Give General the 90-287 part number and see what they come up with.

If you want no additional lift, you can go for the 90-289 left side stock replacement and the 90-287 right side stock replacement for less money than the HD's.

Okay so I failed at calling General Springs today, and the email response I got wasn't super specific so I'm going to solve that tomorrow. AutoAnything already has several tracking numbers headed my way. Seems the only thing pending is the coilovers, which is expected.

Looking at the SPC 25485 Upper Control Arms but they state, AFTERMARKET UCA RECOMMENDED FOR ANY LIFT GREATER THAN 2"

Are these still recommended if I'm not lifting? Is this just one of those, "We're super awesome if you're also lifting, even greater than two inches!"

Give ATS a call and talk it through, then call General. Go with whoever makes you feel fuzzier.

ATS looks like a winner to me. I just ran out of time on my lunch break.

I had a good experience with ATS, I spoke with a knowledgeable guy about my options and when asked about the HD for my truck he took my phone number and called me back to verify that the 90-287HD, not the 90-221HD were the right one's for my 2WD. They weren't listed on their site at the time but I see that they are now. The prices have gone up a bit but I'd do business with them again.
I've put a little over 3K miles on the HD springs and I'm completely happy with the decision to go HD over OEM equivalent.

I don't know if you really need new UCAs for how you're planning to use the truck, but I recommend SPCs for sure. Quite a few of us on here have them. The zerk fittings are nice to have.

You'll want to make sure you find an alignment tech that knows how to work with them since they are highly adjustable.

My Kings are currently set lower than my Toytecs were, and I don't have any issues with the SPCs. I think @Tundra2 has them as well and he's not "lifted".

Paper towel is pretty much the stock air filter. Was it Brawny or just the store brand?

Two inches isn't a lift? Anyways, yes. Can't recommend them enough. Great for my deer killer.

For some reason I thought you weren't lifted  But either way these shouldn't require you to be lifted.

It's okay. Hell, I can't keep track of half the trucks here. Lol

I don't think they would require him to be lifted at all. I went with these to correct the angle on my UBJ when I installed my 5100/Dobinsons springs up front. I didn't like how "sharp" it was. Found out later that @lsaami's UBJ angle is worse than mine. Lol

I think he should be good to go, but won't hurt to call, and ask.

Good point. He has to replace his UCA's either way so we told him it might make sense to just get SPC arms instead of new OEM arms. The previous owner hit a few deer in his truck and his passenger side tire rubs even with 265 tires. I'm hoping since the SPC arms are more adjustable we can fix that issue.

Ah, that makes sense then. I just saw the picture on the last page. Either way, I have my old OEM arms to offer for the cost of shipping.

Reading this sentence again, I don't think it's saying you have to be lifted to use their arms. It's saying that if you lift the truck more than 2" you need aftermarket upper control arms such as theirs. This matches what I've read here in the past. Your 6112's are going to lift the front a little anyways. You should be fine.

John is trying to spare me the embarrassment but it was me. I tried to stay true to my Mangler Moniker and failed to notice bright blue shop towels stuffed in there. I almost shit my pants when he asked me in a panic if I removed the paper towels. There was a 30 second period, while we frantically removed the intake that I was picturing myself writing him a check for a new engine or just fleeing the country. Why he still wants me to help with the suspension after this is a mystery we'll never understand. :D

Even better, thats the AEM of paper towels! Rinse and reuse! No need to oil it!

@FirstGenVol I can't imagine that would cause harm. Probably wouldn't get past the throttle body, if it did it would just flutter in the manifold. You're still on the job.

If it makes you feel better when @jImmegart and I did his suspension he was half way back home (100 miles) and sent me a text asking if we did torque the upper coilover bolts on the driver side. He pulled over to check, the answer was no. It was okay though.

Looks good, but I believe the hanger kits won't be necessary unless they are damaged. I'm not near my truck right now to check but I think they are riveted into the frame and the rivets would need to be ground off and replaced with hardware. That part isn't typically replaced when swapping springs.
