How much time do you have? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .......... Eaton rear eLocker, Camburg 1.5” shackles, Rear Seat Delete, S&B CAI, sPOD, Air Bag Helpers w/ Daystar Cradles, RCI engine & fuel tank skid plates, ABS Guards, Job Box Storage, Tailgate Power Lock, Desert Eagle Offroad tranny/cat security skid plate, Added Driver’s Side Grab Handle, VLEDS Footwell & Step Lighting, Anytime Front Camera, Illuminated Ignition Ring, Console Molle Panel, Sound Dampening in Ceiling/Doors/Floor, Yakima Rack, Paracord Grab Handle Wraps, BD Underhood Light, Tuffy Console Safe Insert, WeBoost System, Midland GMRS Radio, Console Interior Lighting, Power Inverter, Custom Center Switch Panel, and Dual Air Compressors
I’m in the middle of installing King 2.5 OEM rears and need a little help. The driver’s side is installed and I’m now working on the passenger side. I just put on the P-side hanger for the reservoir but it doesn’t look right. The hanger is touching the frame.

The driver’s side has plenty of clearance but the passenger side hanger is up against the frame. I’ve loosen the bolts twice to try and adjust the hanger but it is still touching the frame. Is this correct? Did I do something wrong?

I'd put it in a vice and bend the resi holder down more.

Looks like the passenger side reservoir mount may have been welded in the wrong spot and the tab makes the mount touch the frame.

You could take it off Lisa and try an massage the mount a bit. Do you have an Oxygen/Acetylene torch with a rosebud? Heat it up and bend the tab back in a bench vise.

Wish I knew how to wield, that would be awesome. I was able to get the hanger installed in an acceptable manner, just had to ignore the instructions. The instructions show the reservoir hanger on the inside of the bed tab (don’t know what it’s called??). I moved it to the outside of the tab and added a couple of washers. There’s now a finger’s width of space between the frame and the hanger.

Thanks for the quick response. At least it wasn’t something I was doing wrong which was my main concern.

Thanks for the assist. Thought I might have screwed something up with the first post.

Now that’s using your head. Nice job…and a little jealous. Wish I had some 2.5 Kings on my truck. I’m in the process of rebuilding and recalling my Kings on the rock crawler right now in fact. 2 gallons of oil came in today.

Sounds like you have a busy weekend planned. I followed the advice of several forum members and “buy once, cry once.” The only problem is that I’m still carrying around a box of tissues. I now have to figure out if I can handle installing the front shocks and new UCAs myself. It’s nice knowing there is a safety net with the folks on this forum. Have fun with the rebuild.
