Were you able to get the right-side firewall bolt installed for the bracket?

I am installing mine in the sequoia today and just cant seem to find a way to get my hand back there to thread it in. The two hoses in the sequoia definitely get in the way but so far I got the other 3 bolts in without issue. Wondering if it will be okay if I leave that one bolt out.

That right side bolt is a serious pain!! I’ve taken my Compressor and bracket out several times and I struggle to get that bolt every time! It’s possible with some nice extension tools. Buts it’s definitely not easy. Fitting the mount itself without the heavy compressor to see how the bolt holes line up can help. Small flex of the legs can help line up each bolt hole.

Unfortunately I couldn’t find any other way to change that design and still use that bolt. Hope that helps!

Okay glad I wasn't the only one having an issue with that bolt lol. In the end that ended up being the least of my problems.

The 2008-2013 Sequoia's have the larger airbox as mentioned several times in this thread, which I completely forgot about in my excitement to finally install the compressor. Was reminded today that I cannot run the ARB Dual Compressor with the 2013 Airbox. Trying to figure out what my options are now..

A- try to find a 2014+ airbox. (am i okay with just the upper and lower portions or I need the 2014+ air inlet pipe and all too?)
B- maybe I can get a TRD intake for 2008-2013.
C- potentially source another ARB compressor mount that sits over the fuse box (i.e., Rago)

Also need to get a 45degree elbow NPT pipe as the ARB one doesn't clear firewall shroud.

Here's some pics. Painted the bracket black as well.

CH4x4 switch which ended up being defective. Had a broken pin inside for the power wire. Gotta reach out to them for a replacement.

and where I got stuck because of my 2013 airbox:

Sorry for the late reply bud,
Yes, I install it but I had to loose the black pipes and move them on the side. Patience and few special words will work.
Just make sure you match the clamps back to the yellow marks when you put them back.

What did you use to paint the mount with? I was thinking of powder coating.

You can use anything really. I ended up using POR15 TOP COAT. Just happened to be what I had lying around.

Yes the larger updated compressor mount will fit with the AFe intake box. But will ONLY have enough clearance for the single ARB compressor just like these photos above. The twin compressor is too large. But the actual mount fits the same.

Amazon has it and I think SDHQ is the source. I’m tracking the price as it will swing wildly. It is a little high right now.

Crap, you are right. Funny it doesn’t show as out of stock on my wishlist (unlike another item).

    Good luck!

I'm going to follow your setup. Thanks for the info. This is my first time fooling with air hose...Is the rubber stainless braided AN6 especially for air only or is it multi/purpose for fuel/oil. The listings on Amazon are labeled for fuel/oil. Anything I need (tool, know-how) to affix the fittings? Possibly there is a prefab product...just not familiar with air stuff.

It is a multi purpose hose air, fuel, oil, etc... Youtube the proper way to do the fittings. You could always see if your local NAPA could make the hoses.

Yes sir I still have compressor mounts in stock and ready to ship. I can confirm if the smittybilt compressor will work as I’m not very familiar with that one. I believe somewhere on this page somebody had made that work but I could be mistaken for a different brand also. I can always send you over some photos and dimensions so you can check to see if this will work for you. Let me know and I can send you over some more info if you would like. Thanks!

@Bannock452 if I get you bolt dimensions and height of it would you be able to let us know? Or I could just buy one and see if it all works.

Yes I can definitely check some basic measurements for you guys to see if it’s in the ballpark.
Or if anyone wants to test fit i can definitely ship out a mount to see if it works! It’s it’s not fitting I have no problem giving a full refund if the mount is sent back. We can start with some measurements to see where it’s at.

Here are some of my measurements I’ve taken with the arb mounted. Obviously the firewall is angled so further out there is more room there is.

Here's a few pics of my setup. I use my dual for airing up my 37's, and F & R lockers.

Note: I have a 2nd gen so I swapped my airbox for a 3rd Gen to make things fit. On that note I have a 2nd gen airbox for sale...

thanks again @Bannock452 for an awesome mount, quick shipping, and being active on this forum.

@Bannock452 .. love your work. Would you be able to share dimensions of the top plate where you mount double compressor? I won't be mounting a compressor but need to mount warn winch Controller it's the perfect place away from dirt and water.
