I am a cog within a wheel, often belittled and ignored who maintains, fixes and sometimes redesigns parts of systems that most are clueless about because the few who were either moved on, retired or died.

My importance will only come to light once I leave the company, the system breaks and a nuclear conflict ensues. At that time I’ll be ice fishing from a remote undisclosed location in the North watching the midnight sky for shooting stars or whatever resembles them.

But realistically we all know that will never happen…

    because I don’t ice fish.

I sit and listen to people, whine, complain, and bitch about thier life. Then I validate their emotional expeience and then guide them through the problem solving methods of life as I am screaming in my head "JUST GROW THE FUCK UP ALREADY AND TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILTY FOR YOUR OWN LIFE."

On the other hand I also work with the emotions of the abused children, to help them heal from the hurt and pain of life, which is the rewarding side of things.

You either are (or worked for) an Australian musician, or you worked for an American pipeline company. I'm leaning towards the latter.
