I have been reading a lot of posts and I am trying to find an answer to a very specific question.

Currently I am running a 3/2 Ready Lift Leveled Setup. I have factory 20 inch Limited Wheels with 1.25" SpiderTrax Spacers. Tires I am running BFG KO2 AT 285/65/20's.

I want to ditch the factory wheels for some 20 inch Fuels, or XDs. I like the wider bumped out look and want to get the same feel I have with spacers but more aggressive look with the wheel. My question is what type of wheel do I need? If I go 9/10 inch with a + offset to get a wider look and feel would that help? I really like the 20 inch Fuel D569 Vapors but there are a ton of options for offset +/- and backing. Do you think I would need to switch to a different tire size? Ideally I would like to run 35x12.50s. Any advice would help.

The lug pattern should be 5x150. Fuel would have them anywhere between 18 and 25 IIRC, unless you go for the deep lip then it goes out to 0 and on.

I think 18's would be perfect without sacrificing performance and adding too much stress. Should be about the same if not more aggressive than spacers.

So that is a +18 offset? Do you think I could run the 285s with them? Also how wide of rim? 9 or 10?

Yep. You could run 305's with them easily. 9 is what most people run, 10" with 18 offset would move the offset in more (stick out less) since it's wider than a 9" rim.
And I'm not positive you can run 285's with a 10" rim. Manufacturer specs vary

Sweet thanks I will go 9" cheaper anyway. I just paid $1600 in tires for the 285s like to not have to ditch them.. I really like the 35x12.50 look

Same here, running 275's and put in 1200 bucks....too small with a lift, but put too much money in those tires, so just biding my time until i need some new ones....then 295's are the ticket i'm punching then!

just put on a few mods to make the time go by faster and keep your "satisfaction" up with your truck! LOL

this site doesn't really help with budget issues!

yeah, it's some weird ancient word that meant something about money.....my grandmother used it all the time, along with "ration" and "money sense". Weird words like that.....no idea!

Yep....that's my truck right now.....hoping my +18 offset method standards I'm putting on will help the look some! :anonymous:

So I still do not have a plan. I think 20x9 is the way to go. Offset I am still a bit iffy, +18 seems to be popular. I would still like more input on if I should mount my 285s on the new wheels or just sell them?

Mount them, no reason to eat $1600 - unless you can get a good deal on some 35's and sell your 285's at a good price. Might only have to eat a few hundred. That would be acceptable from my POV.

Ok so +18mm Offset or +30MM? and we are 5x150 right? The only rubbing i get now is reverse at mid lock in the front wheel well. I saw posts how to fix it, or I will post up a pic of what I saw a guy do in Des Moines Iowa. He cut it all out looked sweet.
