BSM and RCTA use the same sensors in the bumper. They aren't two separate systems but more like a system with two modes where RCTA is activated when in reverse.

It shouldn't cause any issues as long as you properly secure them. You should also be able to turn off the BSM through your dashboard settings: http://www.ttundra.com/63/bsm_blind_spot_monitor_.html

Yes, sir! Works like a charm.

Thanks for the update. I prefer asynchronous written communications. I don't have an issue if it were the Aluminite (TM) Resin product but good to know it is 5052.

Do you have any videos of the product running with functional BSM/RCTA? Also the orientation of the sensors seems to be compatible with the earlier pre2018 sensors; the newer sensors 2018+ are smaller and would require the mounting points to be rotated 90 degrees. Aside from that, solid design.

Also when do you expect this to be in back in stock? (screen shot from a few minutes ago)

    Thanks

I don't think we have any videos showcasing that particular function, but we'll be sure to add it to our next video shoot. Thanks for the tip!

As far as the 2018+ sensors go, our mounting brackets account for both orientations without any modification. Our engineers are quite crafty like that.

Bringing us to availability. In theory, you should be able to get your hands on one around July. Also, if you shoot over an email to info@icionline.com and let them know you're from the forums, they MAY even give you a clutch discount... WHO KNOWS!?

Any chances we might also get a install video as well? I'm pretty certain anything needing installation has a install guide but I figured with securing and relocating the BSM/RCTA sensors, we got to measure twice and cut once hopefully!

Any new bumpers available with full sensor compatibility? And tested by someone other than the company. The westin one is piquing my interest.

Someone on another thread recently purchased the ICI rear but wont be able to install it until after the holidays.

IMO you are almost better off sticking with OEM, most of these bumpers don't offer any clearance advantages and add weight to your overall vehicle. With that said ICI and RCI look like decent choices but you will likely have to mod to fix at least one of the issues below.

Not familiar with the Westin offering but these bumpers seem to have common issues:
    • Check to make sure they support your model year sensor. Some of the models don't support the newer smaller sensors or the older larger sensors. mid 2017 appears to be when the sensors were switched.
    • Check to see the sensors are protected properly. Looking at some of the other forums regarding aftermarket bumpers, improper protection from vibration and environmental factors (dust, dirt, water etc) seem to cause these sensors to fail over time.
    • Check to see you can calibrate the sensors per Toyota instructions. In case of a failure during installation or after installation you'll want the ability to calibrate the sensors; most Toyota places won't touch it if its aftermarket.
