I've been on the hunt today and seems like they all have pretty similar price. Icon/method must go by MAP.

    I like the 313 since they're 17x8.5 and are available in a +25 offset

88Rotors suggested doing 18x9 +18. I wanted to go with 17's originally. What are the pros and cons of 17's and 18's? TIA

If you off-road, 17’s are ideal = more runner tire : wheel ratio ——> when you air down you’ll still have a good pad of rubber.

Plus... off-road junkies start thinking 17’s look sexier.

The two pros for 17s IMO is more rubber and more tire options. I want the toyo at3 285/75r17 in C load range.

and I think it looks better.

We-ll. I can’t recall what backspacing is necessary to clear. Calling @eccracer104: I know you skipped straight to 35’s... but do you have enough recent research to provide some guidance here?

Or shall we shun these guys and insist they :p show these guys where they can head over to the many threads on this?

    Haha.

I have 17x8.5” with 0mm offset. After some cutting, welding, and bumper moving I don’t rub at all with 35” on 1.75”-2.00” lift in the front.

+25mm offset is considered the “sweet spot” because it’s easier to clear larger tires with less rubbing. This offset keeps the wheel and tire under the fender instead of sticking out from the fender like 0mm offset.

The lower the offset the further the wheel sits out from the wheel well. On the flip side the higher positive offset pulls the wheel in towards the frame. Stock offset is +60mm I believe. Every 25mm equates to about 1”
(That’s the simple version, I can go into more depth if desired)

17” wheels work, but the weights need to be right up against the back of the spokes to clear the calipers.

This actually changes my plan for me. I thought that the higher the offset the more the wheel/tire will stick out.
My original plan was 17x8.5 +25 with 35 Toyos. I am on TRD Pro suspension and I was planning on doing BMC and shackle lift in the rear. Your thoughts?

    Glad @Sunnier tagged me then!

Lower offset = sticking out further. It’s really a number to position where the hub mounting location is on the wheel in reference to the center line of the wheel.
    16568BB4-9DBE-40CB-BF96-A6510CB4D2FE.jpg

Does the Pro suspension add any lift?

For reference I’m on 5100s. No lift in the rear, I believe the second clip in the front for 1.75” or so of lift with 35x12.5x17 Toyo AT2.

    DA5070C5-2D4C-454C-A8A4-774403009B01.jpg

I did the cab mount (body mount) chop, cut the bottom of the front bumper end caps, and added a .5” bumper shim to push the front bumper forward. Oh and cut the bottom edge of the rear front wheel well where the fender stuck out.

Yes, pros sit roughly 2" higher in the front.
