Welp, with the growing family I parted ways with the Tundra and bought the Sequoia Pro. I always wanted to do the "Sequndra" front-end conversion and I think I still will. Can anybody tell me if the headlights for the 19'-20 Tundra TRD Pro will work without issue on the 2020 Sequoia Trd Pro since they're both LED? I actually bought the harness for my 17 Tundra to run the LED headlights. Just wondering if I'll need to run that same harness or not. Got a couple of mods shelved until I take delivery of my wheels.

Can't help you with your question, but...damn that was a sharp looking Tundra. Congrats on the Sequoia, it's pretty sharp itself!

Thanks fellas, it really was a tough decision but I had to with two baby seats a 70lb dog and bringing both my parents along with the family. I tried my hardest to sell the Sequoia as my wife’s daily
So I could keep the Tundra, but that was contingent on her selling her 16 JEEP SRT8. We test drove it and it was just too big for her compared to her JEEP.

I have two other cars and the wife was trying to get me to sell one of those which weren’t an option so I went ahead parted ways regretfully.

Thankfully I found a buyer who appreciated most of what I did so I ended up selling the Tundra for 50k. (All cash believe it or not)

Overall there are more positives than negatives. To no surprise the platform is nearly identical to my 2007 crewmax that I sold prior to purchasing the cement Trd pro.

One of my biggest gripes is the gas tank. I made such a boneheaded move and didn’t even think about the new gas tank. The shitty gas mileage didn’t bug me because of the 38gallon tank in the Tundra. But damn! 26gallons .. I’m gonna have to find a suitable mod to increase my gas tank capability.

    Mods planned

    Westcott designs suspension kit
    BMC
    (5) 18x9 Te37xt in bronze
    (5) 35x12.5 TOYO open country AT3
RIGd UltraSwing trailer hitch 5th wheel
    Holder

Trying my best to not drink the cool aid and go KING suspension over the Westcott kit but the 6-7k price difference is obviously a huge factor

if I pass on the KINGS I’m for sure gonna do the front end conversion. Just gotta offload my factory front end.

I actually saw something my buddy posted on his IG that takes the place of the spare for a spare gas tank. If I can find one or build one that’s not plastic, and have it work as a reserve tank that has some way be automatically sourced from I will definitely go that route.

Congrats on the new ride. I was in the same boat as you when i was looking for a tundra, i HAD to have the bench seat for this very reason. Its worked out well for me, though i have one less passenger than you because I have no dog :)

Do you have details on the spare tire area gas tanks? This looks pretty slick. Does it come with its own pump and stuff to tap into the stock tank or are they just jerry cans essentially?

I literally just saw it on my buddy’s IG today. Looks like a decent temporary solution. Now that I have the ultra swing I have the spare space. I need to find someone to build me a larger tank for a more seamless and carefree solution. According to the website they look like 6gallon tanks that can be stacked. Don’t think they offer a sending unit into your current tank.

Thanks Jim, yea I’ve had this link saved for quite some time now. Same goes for a couple other folks who’ve down the build. Looks like the entire conversion with oem The OEM Trd pro grille and LED lights will run about 6k after Paint. Not sure if the NSV lightbar I had in the Tundra will be able to work since the faceplate inside the sequoia isn’t identical to the Tundra.

sweet, thanks for the link. I think a custom larger tank would be the way to go. While nice, these seem to be way too expensive when you consider a jerry can can do the same thing for way cheaper. If one really needed the space and needed to fill the spare tire area it may be worth it.

My 2014 has actually increased in value (KBB) by around $3k since I purchased it back in December. Not sure about new ones, but nice preowned low mileage 4x4s are a little hard to find at a decent price.

Does anyone know at the top of their head if the wiring harness for the headlights is the same for the 2019+ Squouias and Tundras since they are both LED?

Nice choice on wheels. I bought a set last year and they were delivered a month ago. Still trying to figure out how to tell the wife I’ve got full suspension, wheels, and tires in our storage unit.

I got mine from showstoppers too. The boat they were on got stuck waiting to dock for a month or two. It’s not that big of a deal since I still need to find time to install everything. I would have had everything installed within days when I was younger, but now I just don’t have the time to spend under a car like I used to

I never really took photos of *just the bed bars but here's a couple that highlights them. Cheap and super easy install, but out of stock. I mostly used them as handles when jumping into the bed.

Hey dude the lights are different so you need to do the front end conversion I’ve looked I have a tundra and got the wife a sequoia but I got the sr5 cause all of the parts are coming off in time. If you sell
Your sequoia lights tho let me know I’ll take them. And the gas tank can do a 38 gallon swap I just did it on my tundra and I’m gonna do it to my wife’s sequoia next. Pm me if you have any questions

I think you misunderstood what I was asking. My fault if it wasn't clear, I know that the actual lights aren't the same in any which way or form. I was referencing the harness. Being that these are already LED I was hoping they were identical. Thus, making it PnP,

I've actually got a ton of interest in the headlights already on my craigslist and Facebook marketplace ads. Problem is, I have yet to see another set sold so I have nothing to base my sale off besides the cost of the new, which are INSANE. Roughly a grand per light. Not entirely sure why these are so expensive as I just bought a set of 2020 LED TRD PRO headlights from Cool Springs for just shy of 900.

Thanks for the info on the gas tank on the sequoia. I know tons of folks upgraded the Tundra since the Pro comes with a 38gallon tank. Just curious to see whose successfully completed it on the sequoia.

O my bad dude it was prob me lol. Yah they are expensive it’s why I was going for morimoto for the sequoia plus headlight rev offers a Leo discount. The 38 gallon swap was not to bad the hard part is finding the tank

The army green is so nice I was torn on it. I ended up with the white TRD pro Sequoia. I wish I would have waited for the Lunar Rock. Im waiting for the King Shocks they are on crazy backorder. I was seeing the specs and it said front lift from 3 to 4 inches. For the rear I got the 1.75 dobinson springs I sure hope it comes out looking good. Id love to do the tundra front end but it seems like so much work.
