I have 33x10.50R17’s on 0 offset 8.5” wide wheels with no rubbing at all. I keep debating on spacers to give it a little wider stance. Thanks for posting these pics, gives me an idea on what to look for.

Got under there and found some stuff today.
    [IMG]2021-04-02_06-08-55 by GhostCreekMine, on Flickr

Replaced the power steering line that comes from the reservoir and connects to steel line, it was leaking.
    [IMG]2021-04-02_06-13-33 by GhostCreekMine, on Flickr

Split on the reservoir end. I had trimmed it back previously but still leaked. Gnar.

    [IMG]2021-04-02_06-13-55 by GhostCreekMine, on Flickr

And discovered it had even worse gnar.

I could not source this section of formed line without buying the whole line assembly. So, instead I bought a couple ft of 3/8" ID of line rated for trans fluid... total cost: $1.78
    [IMG]2021-04-02_06-15-03 by GhostCreekMine, on Flickr

Fixed. I think I used less than a foot.

While I was under there, I couldn't help but notice this... mothertruckin CV on the RH side. Sumbitch.
Going to suck it up and upgrade to the NAPA HD CVs with more articulation. Knew this was coming since I lifted it a little bit ago.

Did you heat and bend your new hose or just finesse it? Big saving$$$ as that other adjacent hose is $65 OEM!

Looks like you slathered your shaft heavily. You grease the zerks? Must be nice having a lift to work with!

I just ran it fairly straight taking care not to kink it... just enough slack. I'm gonna keep an eye on it, hot PS fluid can effect things. I couldn't even find that section anywhere. I'll pay $65 if this experiment fails. You gots a link?

aaaahhh, adjacent... meaning it's sister hose coming from the res. (the one on the left in the pic). I already replaced that with OE. That one had a larger OD and runs to the PS pump.

If you can find a spring or make shift a wire the same size and slide it over the bendy area, and that will keep it kink free. I’ve never used one, but old school refrigeration guys have “spring benders” that you would put soft copper in and bend a 90 or whatever, the spring pressure all the way around the pipe keeps it from kinking while bending it. I assume the same principle would work here, a lot of high end vacuum hoses are imbedded with a spring/wire to prevent collapsing

Couldn’t find the little hose anywhere even with a deep search. The bigger one is $65 and available.

I believe you mentioned its only available with another assembly which is only how I can find it via Toyota. Seeing how gnar your hose is it might be time to replace the rest of the assembly (same wear rate) but its Ric Flair pricing. Maybe aftermarket?

RockAuto has an aftermarket set up for about $110. Buy it and replace the whole thing as you know you’ll need to soon probably.

You found the exact same offerings as me for that PS line. Full line overhaul not necessary. Glad I fixed it for $1.78.

Or just replace the return line with $7 of pneumatic hose spliced into the hard line at the steering rack like I did. :D

if the high pressure source line is failing, that’s the time you want to do it right with an OEM or good aftermarket assembly.

I'm good with the $1.78 fix... worthwhile. If I need to replace all the lines in the future (doubtful) it'll be rockauto.

Just providing options guys. No need to argue!

Yeah. I’ll do a combo fix on mine when needed. Probably go Full Organic and heat bend vulcanize my $1.78 rubber and add some of those French Toasty Artisan Crafted Copper Coils. Make a day out of it.

I may still do this. I have the old line so I could bend a line to match. Need to see how the $1.78 fix performs first.

Good idea on saving the line for future templating.
