Has anyone installed some aftermarket sensors that work? The OEM sensor part # is 4260706030 and is for a 2020 with aluminum rims. The OEM's are shockingly expensive and these are for a second set of rims that I have.

...and no I don't want to disable the system.

I purchased some aftermarket ones for my truck and was told they could not program. Probably best just to buy toyota ones. Probably can find some on ebay.

The OEM sensors are $65 each. I had to buy them for my 2020 when I put my wheels on from my 2013. The 2020's use a different type and frequency sensor which is why most of the aftermarket will not work. It is a pain to get the sensors to register and read pressures. It took over 500 miles for mine to register to the truck so that the light would go out. I still have not gotten them to read pressures.

Aftermarket will not work on the 20/21's. I don't like cloning the Autels that some have done in the past.

I believe that the 20-21 are like 260 dollars new. So they are expensive. I had the tire place remove the oem ones and installed into my after market wheels after they could not program

I just bought Huf intelli-sense for about $140 shipped and had toyota program them for $60. They had 0 issues and they work great. They look oem and claim to be a oem manufacturer for german vehicles.

I do have a set of tpms sensors for steel wheels that have my winter tires on. Anyone needing steel Tom's sensors? I would trade for your aluminum ones.

I put Autel sensors on my 2019 alloy wheels and they’ve been working flawless for over a year. I’m not sure if anything changed on 2020+ models.

For my second wheel set I just had discount tire source and put them in. They weren't terribly $$ and they had them in-stock.

My steel wheels and sensors came from a 2019 so they are the same.

You guys need to read the posts (no pun intended). The sensors changed starting with the 2020 models. Sensors from a 2019 and earlier will not work on a 20/21.

Im using 2019 sensors that came from a 2019 for my winter tires. They have the 7 digit ID code, same as the 2020 sensor.

Mine wouldn't take to anything other than 2020 sensors.

How many ID digits? I have an older set of sensors and they have 8 digits. The newer sensors have 7 digits.

Anyone know if the frequency of the new sensor is 315mhz?

I bought aftermarket sensors from Tire Rack for my 20 Platinum this past summer when I downsized to 17's. I couldn't program the sensors using the owners manual method. I ended up buying an Autel TMPS programmer for around $200 from Amazon.com. Took me about 10 minutes to write the new sensors to the computer. So yes, you can use aftermarket TMPS sensors on the 20 model year.

Can these sensors be programmed using Techstream?

The Autel sensors and programmers work great and are very easy to program.

Can you program them with Texhstream? Are there 7 digit ID numbers printed on them?

I’ve never used techstream. I just bought the autel programmer on Amazon. It’s super easy to scan the oem sensors and clone the autel ones to the EXACT SAME CODE. I don’t know why others on this forum can’t figure it out.

I dont think it would be a good option for me. I already have Techstream so I can easily program my own sensors. If I had to spend $$ to buy a autel programmer I might as well get OE sensors rather than use clone sensors.

All I know is that the tire store cloned my steel sensors.

It is so simple. You can still clone or change ID as many times as you want ( I do not think there is a limit) and can be done even when sensors are mounted in the tire/rim.
