Need some help guys, I purchased a 2020 crewmax earlier this week with 18" steel wheels.

Yesterday I had purchased the TRD 18x9 wheels and the shop said the stock TPMS (40 degree angle) were not compatible with the new TRD wheels.

They were offering me the mx-sensor OE compatible tpms for 99$ a piece (400$) total.

I said hell to the no.....anyone know any other alternatives that will work with the TRD wheels?

Are there any other non angled genuine toyota TPMS that will work with the Tundra and with the TRD wheels that anyone is aware of without having to go to the dealer to get them reprogrammed?

    Thank you.

I some Toyota OEM sensors on Amazon for a lot less. Most tire shops can do the TPMS sensor relearn.

All i'm seeing are aftermarket ones on Amazon. Also, what specifically is needed for these damn wheels? not 40 degree, would 20 degree work or straight?

i've downloaded it, kinda curious about this.

It's not about relearning but different sensors angle for Alloys and Steelies. I used the TPMS from my steelies on my new wheels, they worked for awhile, maybe a few days actually, but would crack. I found some the correct ones on ebay for like $75 for all 4 and no issues since

    @chinox22x Check here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/tpms-sensors-for-2020-which-ones-do-i-need.75234/#post-1918832

For the aftermarket, I had Discount Tire price match Amazon for $27 a sensor.

I went aftermarket after calling the dealer and merely asking how much would they charge me to swap tires on to wheels and program new OE sensors that I would bring in, and would still have to purchase for another $240.

    They said $350

After I regained consciousness, I did the price match online and then went down and paid $100 for the swap/balance and $108 for sensors.

From Toyota and it could be different for certain year as well but mine is a 2019 and I verified with @Roman
    Steel Wheels part number 42607-0C101
For Alloys, you would need 42607-0C091, which are 20 degrees

To clone, yes you need the old ones. They can also go with new codes but I didn't go with that process.

Yes, I have air pressure on my screen.

The sensors are absolutely compatible. But, whoever is mounting the new tires on the new wheels have to be extremely careful. The sensors will stick out, and could possibly get caught when mounting the tires. Definitely not a job for Walmart. LOL.That’s all there is to it.. I have a 2020 That came with the OEM steel wheels, I had no issue at all swapping them over to my new XD 847’s. Keep in mind that I do manage a large tire center, and I would’ve killed my guys if they broke a sensor. LOL

6000 miles on the truck, no issues yet
