That would work. You would still need some 4ga to go from the distro block to the amps, I usually match the fuse rating for each amp for the fuses for the distro block, so you would need some anl fuses.

If you know the lengths you will need you can order just what you need.

I ran this kit for my dual amp setup. It was absolutely top notch. They have this same kit but for a single amp setup as well. I highly recommend it.

Got it! I'll check to see if/where a distribution block is used/placed.

Don't base it off of "watts" that they claim, base it on the fuse ratings, which is the amount of maximum current the amp can draw. It's more accurate information, meaning it's physically a representation of the amp's ratings, not a "claimed 1000 watts!!!!" Lol!. You can never oversize your wire and have an electrical malfunction, whereas undersized wire can cripple performance. All charts for wiring are based on length and current, with watts being a product of the voltage and amperage (current). It should simplify it for you. Screenshot_20210322-134917.jpg

    Update:

    • Wire: Met with Audio Tech doing my install yesterday. They explained a 1/0 and distribution block is not needed for my setup. Instead, they are running two 4 guage wires off the battery with one going to AB amp and other going to the Mono amp. I also identified a couple of other wires needed to complete the front/rear door installs on 4/2 and purchased those.

@Tundra619 , will it work? What are the downsides? Let's share knowledge.

It will work fine. One big downside is you end up paying more for 2 runs of 4awg than a single run of 0awg, and the 0awg is actually effective to 2.53 runs of the 4awg. Going with the 0awg would mean you save money (likely even after buying distro block), better conductive/more future proof if you ever upgrade. If you had already run a single 4awg and decided to add a second amp, adding a second 4awg would make sense but if you're starting with a blank slate the 0awg makes much more sense.

Even if you stick with dual 4awg power, you should really do a single 0awg ground in a distribution block to avoid ground issues. You can always stack grounds on a single grounding bolt or whatever but its not ideal.

    @aparker813 , appreciate the knowledge...learning every day.

Looks like I'll need to push for the 1/0 solution to set it up for the long haul. Here are the two missing links that I believe could work...let me know if there are questions or if anything is missing.

Just wished the installer or Crutchfield would have caught this and recommended 1/0 as an option from the beginning. Live and learn.

Thanks again and have a great weekend!

Update from 4/2/21 Install (6hrs work)
    • I/0 guage wiring and distribution block upgrade completed and replaced the 4 guage wire coming off the battery
    • Thorough sound deadening applied to 4 doors (inside & out)
    • Front & Rear speakers installed along with baffles
    • LC7i installed
    • JBL AB Amp installed

Update from 4/17/21 Final Final Install (4hrs work)
    • Purchased/received 2.5inch Tweeter Metra Speaker Adaptors so tweeters can be installed in dash
    • Hertz tweeters & crossovers installed in dash
Results: Amazing! This system can deliver tunes that thump and provide clarity at the same time. Best system I've ever had in any of my vehicles.

I'm looking to tidy up the Build Of Materials and other diagrams to represent the end result. Then I'll post them here to pay it forward.

Many thanks to those that have provided recommendations as it helped me shape this system and make it a reality!!!
