I'm going to install standard TC UCAs on Sunday and alignment on Monday.

(2005 DC 2WD with 2.5 King Coilovers at level rake), TC recommends:

There is increased caster angle built into most TOTAL CHAOS suspension systems. When setting alignment, camber and toe should be set as close to factory spec as possible, while caster will usually be higher than factory specifications.

Kinda sounds like leave the caster alone - if that's possible, and factory adjustments for camber and toe.

Anyone have any recommendations based on experience?

(con't) Attempting to bring caster to factory spec will likely result in camber and toe being out of factory specifications which will result in poor driveability and uneven tire wear.

Just installed camburgs on my 3rd gen and the instructions said the same thing as yours indicated. Just take it to a 4x4 shop that specializes in lifts and they will know what to do. But here is my sheet for reference.

After some additional suspension research, 2-3" lift, Camburg or TC UCAs, it looks like about 6 deg positive caster, and as close to 0 deg. camber and toe as possible. Sound right?

not sure what to tell you. After driving my truck today i noticed it had a right bias which was much more pronounced on the interstate. So I called the shop to see what they suggested and I'll have to bring it back to them. In the meantime when i get a chance i'll rotate the tires just to rule those out. but you can always call camburg directly to see what they think or whatever brand of UCA you get.

Way too much caster for a first gen. Try for 2.5-3 caster. Google DJ's alignment specs (pdf attached)

If you want it to track straight on the highway and drive like a stock truck, just let the alignment shop do their thing. They will get it as close to factory specs as they can.

Just make sure you take it to a good shop, preferably with experience aligning lifted trucks. You can also buy a lifetime alignment warranty.

Took DJ specs advice and went to the shop, was expecting a lot to change- steering was feeling more resistant and tracked ok but seemed to want to hunt around. Tech on a Hunter machine was you are almost right on as you came. He tweaked it a bit an now feels perfect as far as a test drive can tell.
