I like the looks of the cbi but the c4 looks like it has better access to the winch.

You’ll just tweak your frame when you run into something. Damage has to go somewhere. They don’t crush when you hit stuff like the stock bumpers so it goes to the next weakest link. A moose weighs like 1500 pounds. That energy isn’t going to just disappear.

CBI looks better IMO. I'm not a big fan of the amber lights on the C4. CBI has a great aggressive look to it.

I see what you’re are saying.
    I’ve taken measurements.
The CBI fogs are placed further out.

But I have the CBI already.

I have been looking at what needs to be cut, looks like mostly are replaceable components. I mean $100 or less.

I like the look of it and considering I’ll be driving almost everywhere it suits what I like.

I can order one and get it by Wednesday, CBI takes 12 weeks and I’m not that patient.

    Finally got my CBI mounted.
Thanks to the current world of backorders and extended manufacturing times, I’m not completely done.
Still have lights to add and haven’t made up my mind which lights to use under the Baja bar.
Adding running lights in the sensor holes.

May be different but it’s mine.
    That’s what wanted.

Added a piece of sheet metal behind the CBI cutout to make it more visible.
It’s off of an old tailgate I had to replace.

And yes, my truck is sticking it’s tongue out at you.
    Waiting on my Agency6 shackle.

    Thanks!
Went smoothly until I realized I hadn’t loosened my skid plate.
    It’s was bumping against it.
I had the bolts started on the passenger side but couldn’t get the driver side to go in until I realized what I was hitting.
Had to get my wife to lean against the bumper, while it rested on a jack so I could go underneath and drop the skid plate.
    That wasn’t sketchy at all.

Were it not for that, simple bolt on.

Does the cbi bumper mount to both the stock bumper holes and the tie down hooks up front. I’m just curious because I know some of the “winch bumpers” out there don’t.

    Approximately, 175lbs/79 kilos plus winch.
    It’s really not too bad.

I already had 700lbs springs on my toytecs anticipating adding the bumper.

Good. I saw where the demello doesn’t and I lost total respect there X for such a pricey well respected brand that’s slack.

That’s actually one of the things that initially pushed me away from the Demello as well.

Snatching this bumper would not give me any hesitation.

    The fit was perfect.
Once I got the skid plate(which I should’ve removed to begin with) out of the way it went on like butter.

You can remove the grill with the bumper on too.
It’s hard to see on the CBI but you can access the winch free spool lock easily.
Light holes are predrilled. Actually, stamped, so it gives a little movement left or right.

I did have to add a fairly thick washer to get the DD fogs to line up, but that wasn’t an issue at all.

I’m still waiting on my winch before I put mine on. Which fog lights did you go with. I’m debating on the Diode Dynamics SAE yellow fogs.

    DD SAE pro in white.
I like the white and really can’t justify yellow here in ‘Bama.
The lights on the top of the bumper will do white or yellow.
So, I’ve got 20k + lumens of yellow if I need it.

Does anyone know if the CBI BAJA HYBRID is steel or aluminum? I’ve seen one video where a guy say it’s aluminum but I see other venders that say it’s steel.

Perhaps I’m not reading your question right but…
Demello does mount up to both points and is reinforced with a brace. They are the only brand I have seen that ties there shackle points directly into the frame as well. Most I have seen are just welded to the skin of the bumper

the part you see here was initially installed wrong but demonstrates the mounting points on the bumper. The circled brace goes over the bumper that is mounted stock mounting points and it goes underneath at the shackle mounts and through the frame was well.
    upload_2023-1-3_20-37-21.jpg
the brace running back to the mounting point is your recovery shackle mount.
