I'm running CVJ's as well. I think Empty Lord said another option is NAPA. I can't remember if they have a lifetime warranty or not. That might be worth exploring if you wanted to save some cash.

Did some critical testing today, not sure how I should take the results, I was checking my “idle up” thingy, located on the PS pump zonal region, and it failed the test in the manual. For shits and giggles I did the same test to the other tube coming off the intake, and it preformed as the test describes.
I pinched both lines(separately) coming off the idle up valve and no change in rpms(noticeably) but when i pinched the one going to the evap system(?) it Audibly and visually changed rpm.
    1DBEA2E1-0C0F-4A66-A0ED-B23948F30AE7.jpg

a tech said his always seem to idle strangly lean, and maybe that’s what I’m feeling or imagining?
I still might get it smoke tested, but not sure about the failed results with the idle up valve..... maybe the deep voice will chime in soon....

Did you turn the wheel fully as you were pinching? You have long arms if you did.

Yeah I wasn’t sure of the specifics of the hand move for this one; I turn the wheel......... and then walked around and pinched tubes in question. It doesn’t say keep it banked, or anything like that, so I think it just needs some kind of resistance on the pump? When I turn my wheel I do get idle up and down, but I’m wondering if it’s not enough....... I didn’t glance at the right moment but when I did bank and hold I thought I saw it dip to and maybe below 500rpm.
That valve isn’t cheap, but it isn’t expensive either

just over here collecting more parts. Shoutout to overland custom designs for some killer sway bar links. Should pair nicely with the energy suspension bushings I ordered earlier.

I think that 50rpm dip is proper and iirc is written in my Toy Manual in the Glove Box as a reminder that is normal.

I think that might be Bad Mojo. Better to buy new the first time than to Mangle and have to buy new after the fact.

Be careful with moog lbjs; seriously just get Toyota lower ball joints and be done with it.

NAPA remans are ok.. I would never buy another “new” Napa axle. The design is inferior and binds more (though technically a hair stronger)

Just got home from 7 hours of driving with this (but strapped down)

I unintentionally followed in MrDirtjumper's tracks and towed a vehicle but for a friend. I wasn't tooting just because I had my airbags filled.

I averaged 12.4mpg on the drive down and then 9.9 mpg with the trailer loaded. Had to stop half way home because a trailer tire caught a screw, bubbled out, and started leaking really bad.

Trans didn't go much over 140° except for once when I was going up a mountain for a good bit.

I heard a "tink" from the rear this morning on the home stretch.

    Found my tink.
    20210309_071029.jpg

Who do we use for lug studs?

Currently taking this wheel off to investigate further.

Looks like the High dolla alignment shop used 15 too many ugga duggas. I checked the other three wheels. Both rears look like way too many duggas. Fronts are OK.

Edit: I guess it would be a good idea to replace all 24 lug studs, eh?

    @empty_lord

Are the lug studs different for the front/back or for the 2WD/4WD?

Edit: I see the smaller picture behind the "part" picture now...
