What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Just finished debadging my truck. That 3M eraser tool was magical. Got some 50lbs fishing line from Walmart (the cheap kind) and god did it suck. Get what you pay for.

 

After a lot of research and figuring out how this all works, I got my SwitchPros installed! I made a custom stainless bracket, and ended up using some quick disconnects for the trigger fuse taps so its easier to get the relay box cover off. I was super stoked when I converted my ditch lights from a dash switch+relay and hooked them up to SP... and they worked Got a couple more lights to convert now.

 

4 months back order and they finally arrived! Califabrication did an amazing job on the install. Truck is handling corners like a champ and don’t forget those speed bumps too. Weather gets better, take her on some trails for a real challenge.

 

What is that small round lid for?

 

It’s a cover for the key lock.

 

Had truck inspected and fuel pump & turn signal recalls done.

Edit: Also, PCS error came back after putting the topper on. Luckily I have airbags on order to bring the rear end back up to 42" which should adjust the angle back down.

 

How was the install ?

 

Did the now classic drivers side grab handle install, should have come from the factory.

 

They used to. I stole mine out of my 2013 before I sold it.

 

Retrax installed, order placed Harrop SC, Toytec Elka 2.5 with OME leafs, Vector 5 bronze with Toyo ATiii 25x11.5.17. Now trying to find a quality shop for elocker install. So if you know of one in the Denver area?

Ordered it Feb 15, got the stainless for $926 total with Valentines Promo code. Sounds awesome, can't hear my CAI anymore and can definitely feel the HP. Spins my wheels everytime I stepped on it.

 

amazing, did you install yourself?

 

Yea its only 5 bolts, I soaked them overnight and loosened them yesterday so it would be a quick install today. The only hard part was pulling the old muffler off the hangers but I hit them with WD40 and they came flying off.

Thanks for the info friend. Did you jack up or drive up on blocks? I have a leveling kit and 34's so I already have some decent clearance.

 

Got a 6" lift with 35s on 20s, I can do barrel rolls under there.

 

Install was pretty easy. At the most 30 minutes. Just be careful taking the liner out forward of the wheels. The bracket with 2 bolts is easy to crack. Use a pry tool and go slow.

for some reason the whole fog assembly jiggles after you initially take it out and then reinstall, even with the stock bulbs. I believe it’s held in with only 2 clips. I’ve read on the forum it’s a common pain. So easy fix was to install 2 zip ties behind each fog assembly to secure. 1 may have been good enough but I wanted the extra reassurance

 

Installed the VanTop 612T digital rear view mirror today. Really helpful for showing you those blind spots and seeing past anything in the back seat.

 

Where'd you mount the rear camera? Also, does it record like a dash cam?

Both front and rear cameras record as dash cameras to an SD card.

 

I have been storing the Silver Bullet since November due to the fact I have 3 really nice vehicles and only a 2 1/2 car garage. I hated leaving one of them set out during the winter here in Ohio. So my Tundra was stored at a friends garage while she is snowbirding in FLA. Long story short, I sold one of our cars today so I brought my Tundra home and parked her where she belongs....in my garage. I need to get some miles on her. She only has 1,500 miles on the odometer!

 

Congratulations on a job well done! You just decreased a major overhead expense every month and the truck is now totally yours!
