I got 5 bolts in on the passenger side and 4 on the drivers side. I can drill out the holes that don’t line up properly but I feel like I shouldn’t have to do that. Was only a little bit disappointed when I did the passenger side but majorly disappointed now after doing the drivers side

    Lots of shenanigans.
Agreed, I feel like if it is advertised as bolt on then it should be a complete bolt on slider.

I believe 5 bolts per side is what’s intended but you can drill more holes in your frame if you want to add bolts. I ordered some more grade 5 3/8 bolts

Did you get Grade 8 from them? I got some knock off BS I've never even seen before. Seems like it just has a couple letters on it. No hash marks (6 for grade 8), no 10.9 (metric), etc.

I just need to drill out the tabs that hit the rivet on the frame and I think it’ll be ok

After seeing my plates wouldn't just bolt up & it got dark on me, I have a couple questions.
    1) what's the odd/moon shaped washer & bolt installation location?
    2) how did you get the nut on the bolt that goes up into the cross-member? I felt around for a second & it didn't feel like there's a way to hold a nut inside the cross-member to get it on the bolt.
    Thanks!

I’m not sure I know what you mean by moon shaped washer/bolt? My set just came with 10 bolts/20 washers, 8 of the larger black washers, and the two pieces that are threaded to sit in the cross member. They pop into the cross member and are big enough that when you tighten the bolts up they sit inside

It’s probably the cross member ones. They’re big washers with nuts welded on them but the washers have been cut on one side.

They fit perfectly into the holes in the crossmember. Insert, slide over to one side, tighten.

Something is up. I have no brackets like that along the bottom of my frame on the driver's side. Some kind of skid plate mount???

Here's how everything showed up. they showed up packed in individual (massive) boxes with lots of paper. Nice package.

My only complaint is that I had to grind a slot in one bottom tab on each side to clear the frame rivet. I also drilled and added two bolts through the bottom tabs along each side. I would have preferred these holes to hit existing frame holes, but only one exists that I can see and it looks to be threaded for 8mm.

    upload_2021-2-9_8-33-50.jpg

It is clear that RRW would benefit from some installation instructions.

Tint (1/19/18). On wish list (not in order):TRD dual exhaust, TRD Intake. TRD Pro Suspension swap, TRD Pro skid plate, TRD Pro or 2018 LED w/DLR light swap, TRR Pro Grill and black hood lip, Chrome delete w/powder coat paint matched bumpers . Some nice wheels w/slightly meatier tires. Deciding on steering swap to leather or just leather wrap. Deciding on TRD Pro shifter. Super wishful list: TRD Supercharger.
I also bought the fully welded V3 from RRW.

I have the same issue as everyone else here (rivets are in the way, holes are not lining up, etc).

Seems they completely screwed up the design of the bottom tabs.

It was so easy to avoid the rivets in the design...IMG_6747.jpg

I was so easy to have the holes (better yet should use slots) in the bottom tabs line up with the existing tapped holes on the bottom of the frame...IMG_6745.jpg IMG_6749.jpg

I'm guessing there will be many more pissed off members as shipments start coming in, and people bring these sliders up to their frames and see nothing lines up, curse at the part and the fucking idiot designer, search the internet, discover this thread (like me), and see others having the same issues.

RRW should pause production of these sliders immediately and update the design of the bottom tabs to actually work with the Tundras (instead of getting in the way of the install).

I doubt they will do anything for any of us who already received our sliders. But they should, if they want to stop damaging their reputation.

I opted for the “weld it yourself” kit. I did this so that i could angle mine up some. The kits showed up and was great quality. I did have to trim a little on the bottom of both sides for the rivet but other than that they are great. I can lift the truck with them but haven’t bashed them good yet to give a report. Communication from them is defanitly lacking in my opinion. They should have a phone# like every other business out there besides “Scs” lol

RRW has stopped answering my emails.
Used paypal. May be easier to just contest the charge.
I bought them from runnin4tacos. If I contest, runnin4tacos is the one that gets screwed.

    Hey folks,

Michael from Relations Race Wheels here. Apologies for the fitment issues on this latest batch, we're working on resolving them now. That lower tab was added as an optional drill tab to provide extra stiffness if needed, but is not necessary for proper installation. This slider plate was designed and tested on a 2014 Tundra, but we've now noticed there is a difference in the frame's rivet locations on the newer Tundra models. As this tab is optional for the mounting of the slider, the only thing required to make that slider fit properly is grinding down a small section of the tab to allow clearance for that rivet below the tab.

We've been slammed busy over here with KoH and new machinery being set up, but we're aware of this issue and are actively responding to all emails we're receiving. If you've got an order where you are experiencing this fitment issue, please email sales@rrwheels.com and I will get back to you within 48hrs.

Hi Michael. Can you confirm that anyone that places an order from this point forward can expect the issues noted in this thread will be resolved for their order?

Seems that buying a unibut or grinder and hitting that small area that’s on the rivet would be the fix. It’s unfortunate that it’s necessary but it is what it is. I’d rather modify than deal with shipping them back. Still feels very strong/sturdy and looks good
