    I have a 2021 tundra 4x4 CM.

I’ve been complaining about vibrations in the steering wheel with no help from dealer.

Simply put, when you’re driving your tundra at any speed and you hold the bottom of the steering wheel do you feel very heavy vibration ?

I have 2 different issues both related to the steering wheel.

1 vibration around 16-2100 rpm that people have said is the exhaust.

2 vibration on the bottom part of steering that I’m curious if other folks have. It’s not a tire being out of balance or anything like that. I just feel way too much in the steering wheel

I have a 2019 no abnormal vibrations here, and I’d say I’m mechanically sensitive until I’m desensitized.

    Have all four tires rebalanced.

Not assuming that just the fronts out of balance could effect the feel in the steering wheel.

Having a rear tire out of balance could also cause vibrations that can translate to the seat, steering wheel or floorboards.

Any suspension mods or changes? Inherently I have a small vibration when I switched to falken At3 tires. Nothing big but it’s there. They are all balanced. Never did it with the stock tires

I’m all stock. It’s not a vibration like a tire out of balance. It’s more like I’m just feeling way too much feedback in the steering wheel

that is what I was experiencing. Every bump, every lane change followed up with a shudder or excessive feedback in the wheel.

one of my rear tires was out 3oz. Since it was rebalanced, no issue.

your vehicle is still under warranty, bring it in and have them balance all four tires. Or just eat the $ and have a tire shop check it out.

side note.. toss a bunch of weight in the bed and see if the feeling changes. It could be bed bounce you are feeling.

Might be your tires, put 10psi more in them all and take it for a spin on the same roads and see if it changes

It’s the same vibration that I’ll feel in park in the certain rpm range.

That doesn't sound like a tire to me either. Though I'm a little confused. If you're feeling it while being parked, why are you idling at 16-2100 rpm? Or, is the vibration just more pronounced at that rpm in drive but persistent while stopped at a lower rpm? My Tundra idles at around 750 rpm. If you're idling at 16-2100 rpm, your idle may need adjusting. I'd also consider a tune up and new plugs.

I'm on 37s and I don't feel any out of the ordinary vibrations. OP, what vehicle or style of vehicle are you coming from, to your Tundra?

10-4. Even brand new, I'd switch out the spark plugs to rule out bad plug or misfire as the cause during acceleration. I had a similar issue with acceleration vibration, which turned out to be a plug. Or, if yours is a 2021, do you have any type of warranty that can help with cost of dealer diagnostics?

You have a new truck, and you're sensitive to any vibrations. That's understandable. But, the vibrations you've observed are originating from different causes.

The vibration between 1600-2100 rpm when the truck is not moving, probably is the exhaust system. Exhaust drone has been documented by other owners. I haven't noticed it on my 4.6L, but my wife has to repeat everything she says to me. Unfortunately, some owners can not handle the drone when they have it. In extreme cases, the inability of Toyota and dealers to fix the issue has cost Toyota customers:

    https://www.carcomplaints.com/Toyota/Tundra/2014/exhaust_system/exhaust_drone.shtml

If vibration is present in the steering wheel outside of 1600-2100 rpm when the truck is moving, then the problem is almost certainly unbalance in the tires. The steering wheel is your physical connection to the steering system. The vibration you feel is reciprocating dynamic force feeding back to the steering wheel through the steering system. The primary way reciprocating force is applied to the steering system is unbalance from rotating wheels/tires. If your dealer can't fix the unbalance, take your truck to Discount or other specialty tire store.

I highly highly doubt it’s the tires considering the rpm depending vibrations I’m getting. It seems like there’s some sort of damper or shock absorber that just isn’t working properly.

Its very pronounced in the bottom part of the wheel. The fact that nobody else has this really annoys me considering the tech at Toyota literally said it was normal and even worse in Tacoma’s

Does the vibration change in intensity when you change rpm but keep the speed the same?

Then its engine related. As mentioned already I would look at the exhaust. Can the dealer reproduce the noise? Do they acknowledge there is an abnormal noise?

The dealer was just trying to get me in and out as they were very busy. I went for my 5k service which was only a tire rotation. I told the service advisor I needed him to drive the truck with me. He said no that’s for a tech, he sent me in the truck with a young guy who was probably just doing oil changes. I went back into the dealer told him to give me a real tech. The “real tech” was just trying to get back to work the whole time. Big waste of time for me

Just to be clear. It’s much more of a buzzing like a beard trimmer. As opposed to a wobbly vibration if that makes sense

I have a 2020 and I have vibration in the wheel also.
It's not all the time and that's what's strange. The wheel vibrates a good amount right ad left then will go away.
I thought it was balance issue but it does it even after an alignment and balancing of the tires. It happens at low speeds and high speeds.
But again it's not all the time. I don't get it and the dealer is no help

I have 20k on these tires... I don't know what is going on.
I need to look into it more. The alignment shop didn't find anything loose.
