Question, anyone with a 2018 tundra that installed a level kit or lifted it at all, are you having any issues with the TSS-P.

ToyTec stated you needed to have at least a one inch rake to keep the dash from lighting up. Anyone having issues with this

    Everything. Literally.
I just talked to dude at ToyTec the other day about adjusting my BOSS to in the front 3” instead of the 2.5” factory preset to completely level it out and he didn’t say anything about keeping some rake in order to keep the sensor from lighting up..
gonna adjust it this weekend. We’ll see what happens....

You lifted the front 3 inches and the rear ?? The trucks rake 2.5 inch’s. Is it a block in the rear they add?

I really don’t know much about the lifts etc. any and all help is welcomed

As stated previously we do recommend keeping rake on the truck to insure proper operation of the sensors, you can still get a nice aggressive stance and lift the Tundra, but in the same sense we need to keep some rake on there.

The truck that Sean posted has the adjustable 1.5'' rear shackles in the rear end on there.

    Thanks!

I agree with keeping some rake, mine has no issues. That said mine has been at different heights with negative rake and no lights. If you look at the next pro grille, the sensor is lowered, actually below the Toyota script. Maybe it is lower due to the script, or maybe to accommodate the lift?
Got this image from the 18 parts thread, sensor part #is cut off, 1C in the bottom left corner.

Its to offset the the 2" lift of the trd pro suspension. The TRD suspension per toyota is not compatible with 2018's which can only be because it raises the front end because no part of the suspension was changed from 17 to 18. This grill will make it compatible again but if you don't level your truck and use this your sensor will be a couple of inches low now. I have the pro suspension installed in my 18 and the safety stuff works without an issue from what i have seen

Just shim the sensor under the center console and do a reset. Couple washers should do the trick.

How do I reset them sensor? Did a grill swap and now it’s not reading TSS radar?

My 2018 Platinum has a Pro Comp 6" lift. Originally, the lift had crazy coilover spacers that gave my truck a "reverse" rake as the front sat 3/4" higher, than the rear. No problems with TSS. Than, switched to RC 6" coilovers which reversed the rake so the front sits about a half inch lower than the rear. Still, no problems with the TSS.

    With reverse rake:

    With 1/2" lower front rake:

I got the same TSS explanation from Toy-Tec today.

I just traded my 2011 Crewmax for a 2021 TRD OFF ROAD Crewmax. I had the adj Bilstein 5100’s just on the front (to level it) of my old truck and wanted to do the same exact thing to my new one. Was advised to have an inch of rake due to the TSS.

Have my Billy’s set at top height for a perfect level with no rake and surprisingly have had no issues with the TSS system.

Ordered some 5100’s last nite. May take 2-3-4 weeks till I have time to get them on. Gonna try and post before/after pics on this thread. I also took the stock P275/65 Michelin’s off. Put on some LT275/70 Wildpeaks . They fit no problem. I think they are only an inch or so taller. And I debadged it (removed the chrome “SR5,” “Tundra” & TRD OFF ROAD 4x4 stickers).

I figured it out..... I pulled grill off again and shimmed the radar with a couple washers and angled I upward a few centimeters.... radar (TSS) works like a charm now
