    Thank you Dave!!
I cleaned the MAF sensor and so far no p0308. I'll wait till spring or summer to replace the O2 sensor since I already made the purchase.

Nice, glad it worked out for you. Could you return the O2 sensor? Who is the manufacturer? Some of the aftermarket sensor are not reliable (Bosch).

I got it from Amazon, Denso brand.

I suffering with poor gas mileage. 10-11 mpg in city. I was able to do 12 -13. My 2016 and 2020 Tundra was never this bad. I am thinking there's an underlying issues that the ecm try to compensate but not severe enough to trigger a CEL.

Any suggestions where to start and parameters to read? I do not have techstream, but my Launch reader can read almost everything.

    TIA

You mpg should go up now that you don't have the P0308. If your running 33s LT tires has mileage will suffer. Are you running a lift?

Denso makes a good sensor. Which sensors did you buy? Pre cat or after cat? How many did you buy?

I bought both last left and right. Post cat i belive. Pre cat was called air fuel sensor.

I do have a lift, 2.5, but I was having better mpg before the move to Canada on 295.70.18. Mpg pulling the trailer from Florida to PEI was 10-12.

Welcome to Canada, cold weather kills mpg. Around town, cold weather, lifted and bigger tires all hurt mpg. Remember your computer won't report the correct mpg because of the bigger tires. You have to hand calculate.
You could try the air/fuel ratio sensors but I suspect you won't see any major mpg change. If you don't mind me asking what did the sensors cost?

61.13 and 66.32 coming from the US shipped to Canada 146.45 USD The AFR sensor is more expensive than the O2.

    https://www.densoautoparts.com/find-my-part.aspx

Go to know about the colt temps and mileage. I had no clue about about that. I know being lifted and larger diameter tires impacted my mileage, but did not know about cold weather condition affect it too. I know I waste a lot of gas with the remote start 2 to 3 times if the truck sat overnight and temp drops below 0.

Thanks wo the warm/cold Canadian Welcome! Most people move to the warmth when they get old, I moved to the cold. LOL!

This is how I got the package from Amazon. I'm not sure if the gap got compromised. Can you re-gap iridium spark plugs without damaging the tip?

I have plenty of experience with re-gaping and even sanding conventional spark plugs, but with the iridium, I just install it as is.

    TIA

Measure and check. The gap is probably OK but I would definitely be in touch with the seller. If you do find th gap out a touch you can adjust but my concern is that if it took that kind of a hit the porcelain may be cracked.

I did not even think about the porcelain. And it's going to be hard to tell if it had a hairline fracture until it fail. Thanks!

You could end up putting them in and have a misfire. If the gaps are ok and the package was padded well they would probably be ok. If you find some gaps out of spec or different from the others I would send them back.

Just out of curiosity, what's a swing arm type or plate type lift? This apparently came out of the service manual and was posted on tundrasolutions.com. Wasn't sure if that included my standard floor jack I've used for other cars.

    Back again -
This car is gonna drive me batty.

I posted earlier about tpms issues happening on wife's RAV4 and the id4 sensor.

Id4 tpms sensor replaced 2 1/2 weeks ago and all was well, until today.

Wife was out driving and the dang light began blinking for about 90 seconds then goes solid. Hooked up TS and here are the codes.

Also - the car has always had a viper remote start hooked up. I've read that the remote start connects to the tpms module, if this even matters.

Hopefully someone can confirm or deny that.

I remember reading something about cutting one wire when installing a car starter and it had something to do with the tpms. I would disconnect the car starter, clear the codes and see if the problem returns.

I didn't install it, a local shop did several years ago. They said they also used a t-harness and it was plug and play.

Going to call them Tuesday and see what they say. Maybe i can unplug something to check if the remote start is acting up causing our problem.

One of the first things TASC ask us when we phone in is there a car starter installed. If we say yes they won't proceed to help you diag until you remove it. I would find the car starter module and just unplug it. It should be pretty easy to find.

You can try calling the guys that did the install but they are going to say that their starter won't cause and issues. No way they are wanting to be on the hook to diag a starter that was put in several years ago.

I have a good relationship with this shop after getting several cars modified by them over the last 10 years with pretty nice discount price.

They know me and im not worried about getting assistance from them.

Maybe I didnt share enough info on my post about calling the install shop.
My reason for calling them is to find out where exactly the T-harness is connected so that I can disconnect the whole unit or if they can disconnect it all, and return the car back to its stock configuration.
This way we all know if the RS is the issue or something in the TPMS system/loop.

The car starter taps into communication lines and sometimes this can be an issue. You should be able to find the T harness pretty quickly. Look under the dash by the steering column and follow the wires.

Didnt find the entire harness, but did speak to the shop that did the install and got some more information regarding the TPMS module or connection to it.
Im waiting to get a call from the manager here in about an hour and also found documentation on my installed unit.

Looks like in pic1 there is some sort of connection going on with the wire harness from the RS unit into the TPMS module on the pass side kick panel
The SIL interrupt or something like that.

    One step closer...

Update: talked to the install shop for the RS.
The #13 pin/wire in the TPMS ECU can be cut or not.
It all depends if the owner wants to be able to lock the doors
while the car is running with the OEM FOB.

They said if the OEM fob locks while running, the wire has been cut
    and reattached to their harness.

Still think the issue is right here !!!

Update: from the diagram i posted earlier - the pin 13 wire has been split and a larger gauge wire was spliced into it.

From talking to the install shop, this splice was done so that the factory fob can be used to start and stop the car.
The auto repair shop found that using the remote start was giving some weird feed back of signals during their
diagnostic test of the TPMS system.

So we will be removing that splice and reconnecting the oem wires back together. Sure hope this ends this drama.

I wouldnt be hesitant to do the RS. Just have a conversation with the shop about splicing into the factory stuff and why that matters.
That conversation never took place when we had the RS installed several years back and this shop has done a lot of our work in the past without an issue.

We shall see how this holds up. But sounds like we are good to go.

Some of the Tundras with the extended crank had an issue with the fuel pump. The check valve would fail and wouldn't hold fuel pressure. Restarts were fine but anytime the truck sat for a period of time it would take an extended crank for them to start.

Lifting point diagrams were once standard in owner manuals, but I suspect that most of the OEMs frown on owners lifting vehicles anymore. That diagram may be from a Tundra Owner Manual, but not one published recently. There is no lift point diagram in my 2017 OM, only a diagram of jacking points for tire changing.

Anyway, a "swing arm lift" is a two post lift that has four adjustable arms with lifting pads that contact the frame. I am not certain, but I suspect a "plate type lift" is an old-fashioned, in-the-ground hydraulic cylinder lift (one for each end) with a cradle or plate to contact the rear axle and front suspension. Apparently, the diagram posted on TS only wants a drive-on lift, like a four-post lift, used.

I bought one of these heaters and going to install it on my Tundra 2017 4.6, where exactly does it insert in the block? Driver side, firewall area?
