What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Installed my battery hold down bracket this morning.

 

Coachbuilder front bumper shims install!!
Daughter and I tested the left to right turning and we’ve got room for days.
She says “time for some 35’s dad!”
I concur.....

Transparency note, the install wasn’t as smooth as I’d hoped it would go. Definitely helpful to have extra hands available. The son responded to dad’s S.O.S. call and helped with the placement of shims while dad supported the bumper.
It was a good Saturday, now for some grilling on this beautiful night in the SoTX!

Dirty Deeds 10” system. Night and day difference from stock. No resonator install but after some test drives, I decided to go ahead and install it soon.

 

Interior chrome delete and the new V3 shift knob from ajt design. Thanks for a quality product.

 

Prototyping a way to utilize all these extra pod lights sitting in my garage. We will have left and right switches so we can use on the main roads too and won’t blind oncoming traffic. We tend to roll into camp after dark. This will help a ton and they should fold down under the tonneau cover (that’s coming soon).

Installed nfab MRDS front bumper. Skid plate is being powder coated and not installed yet.

Light bar is on its way and will fill the center gap. Then I will cut the install parking sensors on the corners and be done.

 

Time to step up that tire game

 

Already done and ordered. Kings are 2 month back order. Methods are sitting in the garage.

I went with the stage 1 tune from D.A.P. He is offering $100 off for the holidays. As for the JET MAFS, stay away from it. It cost almost $200 and keeps throwing a check engine light. I contacted DAP and he said get rid of it as it does nothing but causes trouble. Well I wanted to try it anyways, it keeps throwing a code. I will disconnect the battery for about 10 minutes as JET recommended but after about 50 miles it comes back. Complete junk.

 

You're gonna love that exhaust! I put my resonator on during install before I even heard it without it because I hate drone!
After driving a 5.9 Cummins with turbo back straight pipes, then an E55 with Magnaflows and resonator delete, I knew this time around I didn't want to hear the exhaust unless I WANT to hear the exhaust. The 10" system does exactly that, barely noticeable most of the time, just a nice low rumble, no drone at speed with the Helmholtz, but it really wakes up when you get on it.

After a ton of research and going back and forth, went ahead and ordered Switch Pro system for future lighting projects. Still waiting on four Diode Dynamic light pods to ship due to being on backorder. Hopefully my N-Fab install along with Switch Pro and fogs will hold me over for a while. Now if only I can stay off this forum...

 

What do you plan on doing with all the buttons? I separated my ditch lights and still have 3 blanks.

 

Not sure yet. I have a Rough Country 40" lightbar and two sets of fogs right now. Gonna be in same boat as you with you on empty slots for now. Possible ditch lights, an air compressor and a fridge in the future. Gotta get a hobby so gonna start taking trips and camping.

Thanks, I hope so! It’ll take some more driving time. I’m always on the gas so it’s not in “quite” mode that often . I actually feel the rumble through the floorboards when I get on it. Thinking it’ll be perfect with the rez installed. Seems a lot of people say they didn’t need it but it’s a very subjective thing. It might also mellow a tad with some miles on the system.

 

Console safe mod complete.....not sure why the prices vary so much on these, the $135 safes seem to be the same as the ones that cost $280.

 

Took my truck (and family) on it’s first big trip after 6112/5160 with coachbuilder +2 and Toto R/T 35/12.5/18s. Roseville CA to Moses Lake Washington, 14 1/2 hour day and roughly 750 miles. Truck rode great and tires are great across all terrain so far.

 

I agree the white color is horrible

 

Took advantage of the 36 degree sunny weather and threw a coat of griots 3in1.
