I was looking at them, I'm not sure what to think about their new tail lights:cool: I would think their fitment would be a lot better than Spyder, my Nova headlights fit very nice.

    Don't mind if I do!

Upgraded with GTR Ultra 2 H7 bulbs and GTR Armor Switchback turn signal bulbs

    New vs Stock comparison

And the modification required to fit the bulbs:

Thanks for this. I made quite a few mistakes last night. I did the sequential signal step (per instruction) on my PROs so yep, no signal light. Pulled it and now I have turn signals.

I don't have a high beam/flash so that is what I was trying to figure out last night. I did the install from work so I had to put back everything without high's (not that I needed it luckily). So I will give this a try today.

The pins looked fine.. Just slightly bent inwards so the pins wouldn’t fully insert. Hold both connectors next to each other so you can look into them at the same time and you should be able to tell if the pins need adjusted..I should have taken a picture!

I hear you, so I just got outside. The Right (passenger) side was a success. I did notice that the plug was not fully inserted. I did make sure the click was audible. High and pass works!

The driver side, not so much. I reversed the polarity on the LED H7, no light, that means I had it right first time. the 2 plugs are mated properly (1 has like side fins, 1 was smooth). Both were fully inserted, clicked. The plug that had the fins on the side I noticed that the internal pins were slightly gapped closer compared to the other plug. not unusual I dont think.

No high on driver side, but on pass (low beam off), the low beam comes on ---- and on the passenger side both low and high comes on which I presume should be the normal.

If you had the plugs reversed, and you turned the switch on,then I suggest checking for blown fuses under the hood.

When mine were backwards plugs,I blew fuses until I figured it out

I swapped form the Alpharexs to the sequoia TRD style. Here is a pic for comparison

$300 for each headlight plus $100 for the filler panels underneath and $110 for the harness. Best $800ish that I spent on the truck so far!! Huge difference and much newer looking.

I bet man, that looks really really good. The strip on the alpharex (like the PROs I have now) looks like turned off =) lol. But I am coming for my OEM circa 2011 light. So I can't complain.

Agreed, when I went from my 08 stock headlights to the Alpharex ones I was stoked....but then I kept seeing pics of the new sequoia lights and finally caved:). My truck is paid off and looks like a $65k 2020 model. At least, that was my rationale for splurging on more new headlights. I’ll be honest though, the alpharexs were great besides the DRL bar during the day.

when I paid off my 2011 back in 2016 sometime, I almost almost! got sucked into buying a supercharger =D, at that time there were only a few left in the market.

So, instead, I bought a TRD rear swaybar. lol. big compromise, but the big man in me talked me out of it. work, home, weekend with the kids, not really needed. Slowly though, building an overlander.

Headlights were from eBay, filler panels from sparks parts, and harness from @xrunnerdude67. The headlights are hit and miss on eBay. When they come up for a good price, they go pretty quick. I had a search saved and each time a new one was listed, I'd try to look at it right away. There is one seller that has them pretty consistently for about $440 each shipped if you don't want to wait. The harness took about 2-3 weeks after I ordered it but it both necessary and highly convenient for the install. Hope this helps!

It looks like alpharex and Morimoto had a baby on this design. I like the sequential turns signals. Are the DRL bars any brighter than the first gen? It doesn't look like they are and that was my biggest complaint with the alpharex.

Hey people. I am interested in buying some alpharex headlights. Is the price on their website for one headlight or for a set? Thanks.

There are some members running the Pros and are the cheaper route than going with the Nova's. I went with the Nova's, because the insurance paid for them :D They are great headlights which ever one you pick. Light output is great and fitment is good. Read the whole thread, you can pick up some info on the Pros. I believe Alpharex just come out with the Pros with the sequential turn signals. Good luck

Yep! Lowbeams aren’t the best but brights are way better...Many buyers replace the lowbeam bulbs, I haven’t got around to it! Search around you should be able to find then for under $400...Unbeatable for the price

If these are the lights you go with then i highly recommend the retrofit source or headlight revolution. As far as the lights them selves i debated between these and the Morimoto XBs for months. Eventually got to see these in person which swayed me to the Morimotos. They seem to be nice headlights, just weren't quite what i was looking for.

Whichever ones you choose i would definitely use the retrofit source or headlight revolution though!
