many chance you have so more pix. This is nearly the identical set up I’m about to install and I want to make sure I think the tires will look the way I think they will look.

Myself as well, but was thinking +2, now not so sure. I have a topper and tow, +3 might be the way.

I went with +3 since I am getting a topper this week. My fear was that the TSS needs a rake to work, so I hear. Sure hope the 275/70/18s don't look to small.

I talked with Dave at Coachbuilder today and he recommended +2 for 1”rake with 1.9 setting with 2 shims driver one pass for my dc with a topper.

I’m afraid 275/70’s will look small as well. That’s really what I’d like to run though. Truth is though, function is the most important thing. Looks are just a bonus to me.

Still torn on tire size... After reading I am hoping to get some specific info. I am curious if my tires will rub if I go with

285/75/18 (otherwise will go with 275/70/18)

I have them same exact setup with Falken Wildpeak AT3W 285/75/18.

It will fit but you will have to morph / remove front and rear mud flaps (on front wheels) and either morph or completely remove the front inner liner between the tire and fog light.

I'm also running spindertrax spacers which also helps with clearance.

AWESOME. Looks sharp. That is definitely the look I'm going for. If I chicken out of 'making them fit', do you think think 275/70/18 would still look ok or do you think they would like out of place on that set up?

yes. I got it from Discount Tire, although it's not listed on their website. It was a bit more spendy than a standard size too. The tire is listed on Falkens website though. Still E rated (good or bad) 6lbs lighter than 285/75/18.

okay well damn I've been wanting this size but was limited to only the ridge grapplers. What’s the price per tire if you don’t mind.

This is my exact set up and he is 100% correct. I have exactly 1” rake and love the look - the slight rake helps avoid squatting when hauling and with a topper.

That my friend looks perfect!! Thanks.
I’m torn on what tire size to go with though. Wish there was more than one AT option for 285/70.

Thanks! I’m really happy with it. If I had to do it over I’d probably go with the 285s, from what I read there’s a big jump in weight going to 295s. The 285/70R18 size is not as widely available, I think Nittos are available in that size.

Yeah, only nitto. And like you said, go up to 295 and they get heavy and probably have to trim at least something. Probably should go with the 275/70, plus prefer the Falkens. Thanks for the input.

BFG, Yokohama and Toyo all make 285/70r18 tires. As far as trimming, thats dependent on offset. With stock wheels you could run 285/70r18, 285/75r18 and 295/70r18 without actually trimming. You may have to remove the front mudflaps, but thats about it.

I ran 35s on Icon 17x8.5 +25 wheels, got a CMC and didn't need it. That was on a stock pro lift too, so only 2" in the front. I did remove my mudflaps and removed the fender plastic that goes behind the fog lights. You could always just push that piece forward and screw into the bottom of the plastic on it.

As far as weight, the 275/70r18 AT3Ws weigh more than a 295/70r18 Cooper XLT. The 275/70r18 Toyo At3 weighs 6lbs less than the Falken in the same size as well. The AT3W is a nice tire, Ive had them, they are heavy though. My 35" ATZP3s were only 3lbs heavier than those Falkens. Coupled with the Icons that were 5lbs lighter than the OE Offroad wheels my 35" combo was actually lighter by 2lbs than that 275 combo on stock wheels.

Lots of options out there. Good luck in your search.
