I've been looking for months now for just the right wheels to replace my TRD OEM's. I've looked at every major brand: SCS, Icon, Method, Enkei, Alphaequipt, Black Rhino, etc. Trying to find a sub 30-lb, +25mm offset or greater, preferably without fake bead locks in 18 inch. I am now considering spending the coin to get TRD Pro's. I'm on the wait list for SCS Ray's and that would be my first choice even though I don't care for the fake locks - and I do wish the offset was greater than +25. On that: The problem I have with offset is the reduced life on wheel bearings. Should I be that concerned? I come from a racing background and offset and backspacing really stressed bearings on my race car. That's my reference point.

Has anyone found a +30 offset wheel in 18x9, or even a 17 that clears our rotors, that I should look at?

Race cars are light and fast. Trucks, especially full size, are built strong and heavy. There’s trucks on here that have been rolling around on negative offset wheels with 37s for over 100k miles with no issues with bearings. My truck is at 50k and I’ve had -24 and 0 offset wheels on 37/ for the life of the truck and have no issues. Each wheel and tire weighs a lot. We go off-road, we haul heavy sh1t. Bearings should be lower on the concern list. Just my 2 pennies.

I think so, but I'll look again at those. Thanks.

I’m in the exact same boat. 25+offset, no headlocks, not black, etc.

According to TireRack, the Granite Alloy 643s I have weigh 30lbs. They are 18x9" with +25mm offset, which looks nice though I need fender flares now.

Can't vouch for them yet though as I'm having a balance issue that hasn't ruled out a bad wheel casting or tire molding. They're certainly on the cheap end, so they're suspect imo.

Also, what's wrong with the Method wheels? The MR313 are available in 17x8.5 and weigh 23lbs each. They clear Tundra brakes, according to TireRack for my 2020.

Lastly, the offset & bearing life were a concern for me too. My mechanic suggested that the offset in the wheel is much healthier than using a spacer. That being said, someone else mentioned the anecdotal evidence that's rife on every forum like Tundras, Jeeps, 4runners, etc and there's tons of people running spacers without issues. or +0 offset, etc.

Simulated Beadlock seems to be all the rage these days...just not for me.

Fuel and BR have soke without but most are 0, +10 or +18, not +30 range they the OP is looking for.

We settled on 18x8.5 +10 and will add flares if needed. It was either that or settle for simulated beadlock.

Ive run lug centric wheels before, never had an issue, however i now am back to hub centric oe wheels and i really value it. I would only consider hub centric wheels for the future

    See fine print
Reach out to Dustin over at FN Wheels. He has made some 17” wheels without fake rivets before. I’m not sure if he still has them available. But I think the offset is 25 so it only hits 2/3 requests. Hit him up.

Not sure if they're <30lbs, but the Evo Corse Dakar Zero might be worth a look. +45, hub centric and no fake bolts

I had this same dilemma and went back and forth for weeks. Ended up ordering a set of SCS SR8 and some black bolts to disguise the fake beadlock somewhat

Innov8 isn't that light. Their claim to fame is strength.

One of the lighter wheels I've seen available for Tundras is the Black Rhino Stadium. It's rotary forged, so it's legit strong and light.

It's a good street and light off-road wheel, I'm not sure of the lug requirement though. According to the BR website it's also hub centric. I'm sure you'll enjoy them.

Method has the trail series. Most of those don’t have the bead locks

OP wants a high offset wheel. I haven't checked lately, but the high offset Trail series isn't out yet.

The next best thing I think would be 3 series from Method. It's their smooth lip line without Bead Grip.

Yup, hub centric and BR says they work with Tundra. We are still shopping for Lugs, but there are a few options available.

    truck-wheels-rims-black-rhino-stadium-6-lug-matte-black-17x9-5-lay-700.jpg

We came close to going with Method MR701, another wheel without simulated beadlock or cutouts etc, had a less agressive/safer offset and was 9" vs BR 8.5". It was a tossup.

Just curious, assuming the spacer is properly torqued. How would it stress the bearings any differently than a wheel with less offset

You're moving the leverage point away from the hub face. A wheel with a lower offset will only do it to a lesser extent as the wheel pad still has to sit against the hub face.

Have you looked into rays/volks? A new set of gramlights can be had for about 450 a wheel. I believe the set I’m running is around 23# a wheel and they are forged so they are strong with no fake beadlocks. they are available in +25 so not far off from +30

Those Dakar Zero's are nice! Would like to know the weight. They say they start at 13.5kg but not sure what their starting point is. At 13.5kg that puts them under 30-lb. I'll check out rays/volks....I'm familiar with them. Thanks for all the suggestions and comments.

It was tough decision between matte black, gloss black, and anthracite. I chose anthracite because they had that in stock. Even the silver and bronze would have looked good IMO.

Not exactly. Both spacers and wheels with lower offset move the centerline of the wheel out further from the hub. The hub/wheel bearing doesn't know or care how its done, both create the exact same change in geometry. It has zero to do with whether the wheel pad or a spacer is mated to the hub face. The only difference between a spacer and a wheel with lower offset is the amount of parts/bolts involved.
That introduces double the potential failure points if not installed correctly, and is really the only drawback to spacers vs. wheels with the desired offset.
