So I got caught in the new vehicle dealer Ziebart trap. I lost sleep the next couple of days after getting my brand new truck due to the mistake I made and how that A-hole car dealer told me "its good shit, everyone gets it". I researched Ziebart and the horrible reviews of it and its not "good shit". So to try to fix this problem I went ahead and fluid filmed over the Ziebart, I mean everywhere, even under the skid plate because Ziebart obviously did not take the time out of their day to spray that. Im only in NY for 2 more winters and when I finally get out of the salt state, I will just go ahead a pressure wash it off. I should be fine, I hope!

For us still under factory warranty has anyone received any feedback from the technicians when you take it in for oil changes or check ups. I would imagine this makes for a mess when doing any maintenance, alignments, or removing the skid plates with the wool wax coating on everything you touch.

I'm pretty sure they'd not enjoy it, but can't really tell you that you can't do it. It's a service that is readily available everywhere, safe for vehicles.

I plan on DIY mine in the spring. I missed getting my compressor up and running before the snow flew.

Spent several hours woolwaxing the underfluffies of my truck a few weeks back. Went on great with the pro-gun and 80psi or so and was able to get my tiny hands into all the nooks and crannies. I've since driven on wet roads and two fairly heavy rainstorms and the water just beads on the surface, the WW sticks like a mofo. Time will tell when spring rolls around but I'm sure it'll be better than nothing in the Maine winters..

Wanna drive up to MB and do mine? You look like a pro at it.

Just out of curiosity, how much did you end up using to do your truck?

I didn't even want to do my own truck so.. no. Plus, the last time I was up there I dislocated my damned shoulder so I've sworn the entire country off. Even though it was my fault. o_O
I ended up using about 3/4 of a gallon and got the black colored WW. Heard people that get the clear 'straw' WW have a hard time telling what's been sprayed and what hasn't once they get into it and I will say the black def helped with that.

Agree. Really won’t hold me back from doing it but agree they will probably not make a fuss about it. I actually started mine a few days ago with the spray cans of FF and it really sucks. The spray can nozzle just gums up and the spray gets clogged. Definitely need the compressor next time. One spray can only did the hitch and a little of the rear end.

Are you keeping the cans somewhere cold by chance? I've used the spray cans for a few years now without issue. The only time I've seen it get clogged is when I left the can in the cold. I typically use the straw that comes with them.
