I’ve got a ‘21 TRD Sport (2WD) on order and plan on going with the 6112s. I’ve seen the chart claiming the 2WD trucks get an extra .8” of lift on each setting. Can anyone speak to that being accurate? I’m planning on having the 6112s set on the top notch which is supposed to give 3.3” of lift on a 2WD according to the chart. If I go that route and those numbers are accurate, safe to assume I’ll need new UCAs as well. I want the truck to sit level so I’m thinking 5100s with CB +1” should do the trick. Will the TRD Sport front or rear sway bar going to complicate anything? Trying to get everything in order for this lift so I can get it all done at once.

your sway bars shouldn’t cause an issue. If you’re going to be getting over 3” of lift you might want to go with the coach builder +3 (1.75” lift). That’s what I’m on and sitting almost perfectly level. I would probably just spend the little extra and go with the 5160s over the 5100

Thanks ! I haven't really gotten much of a chance to drive it, maybe 100 miles or so mostly around town, but seems really good so far. I haven't noticed any harshness with it being on the top setting.

The top setting gave my truck exactly 3.30" and has settled down to 3.25". I installed some @BOSS4x4s shackles set at 1.50" in the rear for a leveled look. I also had some SPC UCAs installed and the alignment is great. No issues at all.

I’m about to put this setup on, I’ve noticed a lot of you did 1.9 with a CB shim on both sides (or 2 driver one passenger). Does that ride better than top circlip setting?

There is always a debate. I did the 1.9 setting with 2 drivers and one passenger....can't compare the ride but after talked to Darren from Boss Offroad...that was my choice. Still rides a bit stiffer than stock to me but...only been about 100 miles.

RollTide82: how much of a lift did you get initially and how much did it settle? Is the passenger side level to the driver’s side?
    Thank you in advance

If I go with 6112’s up front (set on 1.3 because I tow a camper) do I need to replace the rears? I have TRD shocks stock. I just want to go up to 275-70-18’s.

275/70-18s fit perfect on a stock truck, no lift or changes needed. So if your springs/shocks are in good shape no need to spend the $, just buy the tires you want and enjoy.

I'm looking to do this setup on my 2008 5.7v8 Crewmax.

What is the CB shim and where do I get it? Will I need it pre-assembled onto the strut coil setup or does it bolt on during installation?

Just scrolled through a lot of this thread and didn't see any first gens on 6112s... Is there a reason for that? I've been looking at them for my '05, but was wondering if there's an alternative everybody else uses.

I’ve had 5100 on my Tacoma’s and went with a rancho quick lift /adjustable ride on my 04. I was happy with them. Rode really nice. I didn’t really know about the 6112’s then, But I just ordered some for my ‘17 Tundra.

Made it through all 48 pages.... all the trucks look fantastic and I believe 6112s are the route I want to go for my '21 Crewmax Limited 4x4. I ran the Eibach kit on my Taco when I had it and love the look of a leveled/lifted truck. I've read about diff drops, CB drops, Coachbuilder shims, etc. and am not sure what all I might "need" for the limited lifting that I want to do. I'd like to run a 275/65R20 (34x10.8) and am wondering if I can get away with this at the 1.9" setting. Hate to even ask this since I'm used to doing a lot of the work myself but is having Toyota install the parts one way to avoid warranty claim denials in the future?

You should post in new member intros and show us your truck! That's a good question that I don't have an answer for. I also doubt your dealer will install an aftermarket lift. If you worry about warranty, you might be better off having a different shop that does aftermarket work, install your lift since most of those places warranty their work. Yes it's not the same as your Toyota warranty but it might cover you for your basic issues.

I appreciate the response, and to clarify I would not expect Toyota to warranty the aftermarket part, I am more concerned with things they would claim were caused by the installed part whether they were or not (simple example: a leaky cv boot).

Installed my 6112 at top setting with coachbuilder +2 shackles and bilstein 5160 on Sunday and got my new tires today. Didn’t get the tires I was planning on but when a good deal comes up you can’t pass it up. Got Toyo R/T 35/12.5/18 and they are a great fit and make the truck look like it should.30B3A12A-F1CB-41F1-8BB8-6B2E0A505442.jpg
Will try to get some better pictures tomorrow in the sunlight. But very happy with the results of lift with 35s

Yes, more pictures are needed. was busy with this Stupid thing called work today that really gets in the way of other stuff... with the exception of funding the other stuff.
I thought super white was the faster color. It says it’s super in the color.
