Any one have a link or diagram on how to wire led pods into the reverse lights? Don’t really need a switch in the cab, them coming on when in reverse is fine. Just have no idea on how to wire it. No electrical experience.

Isn't it just a bulb to replace?

    Welcome feom Vegas...

just replace your reverse lights with some LED's from Amazon. I did the ones below and they are super bright. replace the ones in the bed lights also with the same.

I have reverse led lights. I have a spare bumper for my truck. I want to put led pods in the bumper. I just don’t know how to wire, them so they come on when I shift into reverse.

If you have the tow package, any reason you couldn’t tap on there?

What do they say? It’s not the volts that kill ya but the amps?

    1 or 2... I lost count
I don't know if this matches the wiring on your truck but on this picture that I found, and on my brother's 04, the black and white wire is the shared negative wire. If you tap your led pod straight into the wires behind the reverse light it would be negative to the black and white, and positive to whatever the other color is. You can tap into the wiring by stripping a little bit and soldering it, but if you have no experience it would be easier to use a "T-tap" which can be found at any hardware store or even Walmart has some. You just line up the wires in the t-tap and you clamp the connector together and it makes all the connections for you and allows you to tap into an existing circuit. The reverse lights are around a 18-22 gauge wire so you can properly size a t-tap.

I chose to run mine off a switch but if you only wanted them to run off reverse lights, that’s simple.

Just tap into the positive reverse lights and ground it.

I recommend the use of a 4 pin relay. Wire as such:

30 - Fused power from battery
    85 - Connect to ground
86 - Positive input from reverse lights (tap the positive wire of the reverse bulb or the reverse wire at the trailer plug)
87 - Positive output to your led pods. Ground the pods to the chassis.

I'm with @artsr2002 on this one. It's far better to use a relay to avoid pulling too much juice through wires that are too small.
