It was a hairball ride. Some deep ruts, off camber wet rocks and roots, mud, water crossings, tight turns, holes, a rhododendron tunnel throughout. Used the skids, sliders, and rear bumper, ouch. Most people definitely choose smaller vehicles for this. I loved it though. Lots of pucker factor. Have to scout and pick lines. A spotter would improve your chances for success.

Yeah we haven’t found bumpers we like yet. And it’s only been five years. :|

we like the look of the stock ones, the functionality and weight of tube bumpers and the coverage of plate bumpers. But none of them meet all three so we may just move the rear bumper forward a little and trim the front bumper some more for a touch more clearance.

How in depth is the install of that bumper? Is there a lot of cutting or just remove old bumper and such and install the N-FAB?

@Hurricane pretty simple, just remove old bumper and place Nfab on. May be helpful to have a buddy help lift and position it while bolting on.

Hey guys Im in the planning stages of my next big trip. We did Bend Bend in 2019. We did COVID-19 in 2020. And in 2021 we are going to Yellowstone via the Continental Divide.

I went ahead and made a separate trip thread, its HERE. Should be fun if any one wants to join in on part of it.

Did a quick 1 nighter with my lady and the pooch. Site had power so had an electric heater running in the camper.
Our home is 45 mins from here and was 18deg C and sunny, quite the contrast!

Anyone got a cheap source for RTT mounting brackets? Figured it wouldn't hurt to add another set to my crossbars since I have one in the middle.

Yeah, I saw they're $8 on their website. I was hoping to find a long section of it, to cut it myself and for the future as well. One of my brackets got a little worn in.
