Hey guys, Im in the planning stages for a big overland trip up to Yellowstone Via the Continental Divide. The dates are mostly set and will be June 29th - July 10th 2021. Plan is to stay off pavement as much as possible through Colorado and camp out along the way to Yellowstone. Spend time in Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons through July 8th. With pavement driving home on July 9th and 10th. Temps should be around 70s during the day and 40s at night in the WY mountains.

Route will be similar to what the guys over at HEMA Explorer mapped in 2016. GPX/KML files can be downloaded here.

Were going to drive to Albuquerque NM and pick up the trail North from there on June 30th. So it will be the Colorado portion mostly. We havent decided how much of the trail we will do in WY, we might just hit pavement and get straight to Yellowstone, that way we have more time to go wheel in the Tetons.

Always interested in having people join up on the trail. You dont have to go the whole way. If you want to tag up along the trail and do some camping.

MUCH more to come with more details as we get closer to the date.

Check out this short vid from the guys at HEMA from their trip. Looks beautiful.

Making the trip next year as well (but payment). Driving from TX to Mt. Rushmore, then over to Yellowstone, then down to CO to visit family before completing the circle. Damn near same time also 6/26 - 7/11, just reverse order.
