    Maybe a dumb question,

If I bought a set of 6112's and set them at the highest setting with the coils they are assembled with, would they be harder on the coils and on the 6112's at the highest!

I'm thinking of a 3" or below lift and maybe shackles in rear with 5160's. Still deciding what set up but curious about the highest settings and wether its more harder on the 6112 and the 650lb springs they come with!

    Any advice thanks

I think what you are asking is about the ride harshness? The top setting will get the lift your wanting and the 650 lb. Spring is actually a touch lighter than stock and will give you a better ride. From what I've read, the dampening on the 6112 is better than stock in the lifted position. That is the direction I'm going when I replace mine btw

I went with 6112 at highest setting with one coachbuilder shim per side to get 3" lift on the front. On the back I went with 5160s and +3 coachbuilder shackles and the back sits about 1/2" higher than the front which is exactly what I wanted.

It rides extremely well, I don't see any issues going with the highest setting at all. I actually thing it rides much better than stock.

I went with 6112's highest setting and 5160's rear in stock height. Drives great. Have about 800 miles on it already and they are softening up slightly. Very happy

I got a great deal on TRD Pro wheels and I have a set of Nitto Ridge Grappler 295/70R18 on them.

It was rubbing a bit on the Camburg UCAs I installed so added 1.25" Spidertrax spacers. Love the look and drives great, those tires are supper quiet for the aggressive thread they have.

I have the Camburg 1.5 Uniball UCAs, not sure if I really needed them but I got them due to everything I read and suggestions I received regarding the alignment.

Apparently if you go more than 2.5" in the front, you might have a difficult time getting the truck aligned, plus I'm already spending a lot of money, might as well go all out :) plus they look bad ass...

upper control arms don't push the tires out further but they do allow the truck to regain proper caster. some also allow another inch of upward wheel travel.

@geno0506 when are you doing the install, looks like you are not going to go wrong with the 6112s on any of the settings.

Pvarela, have you had any issues with the trac on yours with the 295's? I have 285/70/18 exo grapplers and stock trd wheels. 6112's on top setting. Stock ucas, no spacers. Trac goes off at the exact same angle and speed. Really stumped as to why, seems like all the guys with even bigger tires have less of a problem. I've got 1" Toytec shackles, 5160's, trd sway bar and bags on the back. The truck drives great except for the dang trac!

Hmm, I'll have to ask Lotsoftoys about that Steve. That's the first time anyone has said that. I wonder if toyota recalibrated the trac on 3rd gens because people were having problems.

Steve I believe that with the 2nd gens you want to have some rake. Talking with Dave over @ Ekstrom, he recommended going with +2 shackles in the rear. I was just gonna go with 5100's in the rear with nothing. It has something to do with the Yaw, which if you are completely level it throws the computer off. Me personally I want a little bit of rake.

Yeah, I should be ok on rake with 2.5 front and 1.5 rear. I had Lotsoftoys do the zpc, didn't change anything. I tried adding rake back in by pumping up the airbags and it made it worse. It's gotta be the tires. No issues what so ever before. Maybe if I had gone up to 35" instead of 34"? But that doesn't make sense!

I had the shackles at 1.5 before the bags went on. Tires were on before that. I dropped the shackles down to maintain 1.5. But the truck didn't have the 3" rake when it was bone stock. So at 2.5 and 1.5 it only has about .75 now with 250 lbs in the back. I'll try airing up the bags a little more and see if that helps. I'm going to have to get airbag cradles so they don't get jacked with the lift when the axle droops. So, if putting another .5 works, I'll put the shackles back to 1.5
