7" BDS remote reservoir coil-over lift, 1" COACHBUILDER bumper shims, 1" COACHBUILDER coil-over shims, +3" COACHBUILDER shackles, COACHBUILDER steering kit, 37× 13.5 22 Ridge grapplers on 22× 12 Fuel Cleavers, Morimoto XB LED headlights, Morimoto LED fog lights VisionX grill W/ 2 VisionX lightbars, VisionX pods (red) set up as footwell lights (mounted under dash), Carr, hoop II steps, 5% tint all the way around W/ brow, Weathertech window deflectors, Bushwacker fender flares, K&N cold air intake,

I have a 7" BDS lift and some 13.5" wide 37s on a -44 offset wheel on the way. I have been digging without success to find info on how much trimming (other than plastic) will be necessary to prevent rubbing. Does anyone have more than a guess? I am aiming for good wheel travel, as I go off road now and again.

I had 37s with a 7” BDS lift kit on my previous Tundra. You will likely have to trim the body mounts and have them re-welded and painted. It will definitely rub if you don’t. They’re pre made steel plates ready to weld on for this application.

This was on my previous Tundra running 37sx13.5 and a -44 offset

I would highly recommend you look into Ekstrom Designs. He makes some very solid suspension accessories to make your 7” BDS kit drive and handle a lot better.

    I have 7” BDS on 37x12.5, +1 offset.

I also had to do bmc. Welded Relentless Fab plate over it. It’s well made & has a bend in it (not completely straight) which fits the mount better than others.

I shimmed my bumper ~1”, which allowed me to only have to trim plastic on the bumper ends - didn’t have to cut into metal. I have zero rub at full turn, forward and reverse.

I agree with 1Upper’s recommendation on Coachbuilder products. Get their steering kit/tie rod ends. My BDS tie rod ends lasted only about a year. They were toast. I ordered replacement BDS ends before learning of Coachbuilder, which will be my next set.

I also learned the hard way that Tundras don’t hold alignment very well with heavy tires. Blew through my first set of Nitto Ridge Grapplers (awesome tires btw) after only 2.5 years/20k miles. I now get alignment & wheel balance done once a year.

If you want to toss the 4” rear blocks, you can go with Coachbuilder 3” shackles + OME leafs. That’s on my list.

efinitely lost some power. Will eventually regear. But it’s not that bad at all IMO. It does downshift on slight inclines, but it’s never hunting for gears.
Overall I love the lift. It’s solid as a rock. No issues at all. (Besides the tie rod ends suck.) Next Tundra, whenever that will be, will definitely get another 7” BDS.

Well... I finally got my lift on. I ended up doing COACHBUILDER coil-over shims, along with they're bumper shims (2 bumper shim sets, for a total of 1"). I will still need to remove some of the plastic behind the bumper and cut a minor portion out of the actual bumper, but my an worked out quite well. Only rubs at a full turn.

    I like the headlights.
Now the lift... well I think you could have gone higher :benchpress:, just kidding, it looks good.

Yes no question about that. I kept it simple and went with the new factory LED headlights. But your headlights look sweet. turn night into day.
