Those of you that have external reservoirs on your front shocks, where did you mount them? I have my new ADS coilovers 90% installed but want to make sure I pick a good location for the reservoir so I don't damage them with the wheel.

This is where I mounted mine. I'm worried about the tires rubbing at full lock. I haven't messed around with the different setting on the UCAs yet. It might just be as simple as a different setting.

I put 90 fittings right off the cans and mounted them up high on the inner fenders. I don't have fender liners or a windshield washer reservoir though, that would have been in my way on the passenger side.

With yours, I might try to mount them higher on the frame and twist the can so that the line curls away from the tire.

Thanks for the suggestions. Do you have pics of where you mounted yours?
I'm debating eliminating the washer reservoir to make some more room on the passenger side, but there isn't a whole lot of room to mount them anywhere else. Maybe a different or modified bracket would help.

Camburg sells these pretty generic brackets. Mounting the driver side was tricky because there is a second skin to work through under the battery tray. I think I could have gone against the side instead but I forget why I chose not to.

Depending on what tire size you run and what backspace your wheels have you may get away with mounting them high on the frame.

If you want a better idea, you can pull the coilover out and jack up the lower arm with the tire on, turn it full lock inward. Then use a tall can of beer to see where the can would fit and imagine the hydraulic line comes put the center of that tall can. For reference I run 285/75/16 with 4.5 backspace, my tires were hitting the hydraulic line at full lock amd slight compression.

Thanks @Darkness I might look into some other brackets. I originally planned to take the coil out and see what the range of motion would be, but I got a bit lazy and I don't have my tires mounted yet. I'm planning to run a similar wheel/tire setup. 285/75/16 and I think the wheels have 4.5 backspace. I think toyota oem wheels are 4.5BS.

    This wheel. Dimensions: 16x7 +25

You might be able to pull off something like this but the washer on passenger side probably needs to go to make it happen. That would get your can and hose out of the tires path.

Excuse my Amateur Hand Model illustration, orange is the bracket.

Just don't forget that you need enough room in front of the resi to remove the cap and get a chuck in there for N2 .

That's very true, I didn't think about it. But I have gone through a lot of those clamps, probably due to over tightening with the cordless. Also, I use 3/8" shrink tubing over the clamps to keep from marring the resi can.

Ran into this problem lately with my Fox 2.5s , the tire is rubbing the passenger res at full lock! Honestly i think it’s a bad place to
Have them attached to the sway bar mount! Any off roading where the wheel is compressing into the fender and the res are getting ripped off!
