What does these indicators and levels mean?

What does the symbols and levels mean?

 

The top one is oil pressure and it's normal for it to be low when the engine is idling. The bottom one is engine temperature and that does not look normal. It should be in the middle.

If you're asking about the light, that's your seatbelt indicator.

The bottom one is off scale high coolant temp......danger zone.

 

Your oil pressure is fine. Mine bounces up and down as I stop and go. The link posted by FirstGenVol is really good, there's good info in there.

Now your temperature gauge says you're burning up, I wouldn't run the truck like that. Could be all kinds of things from a thermostat to a head gasket, maybe even air in the line. You need to get that checked out before you blow the engine

well. i see your coolant gauge is working the opposite of mine. can be an electrical issue, OR your engine is not running if its up that high.. seriously. over red is engine seized territory

Check your coolant once your engine cools down. Also check for a broken hoses.

 

Bottom Gauge Hot AF.

 

Pain.

 

For the temp gauge it could also show that the coolant temp sensor wire is grounded. So check the wire and sensor once the engine is cool. Once the engine is cool turn the key on and if the gauge goes from 0 to that high then the wire is grounded somewhere between the sensor and the ecu.

More likely he stopped, posted...waited, then took off again but passed out from coolant poisoning/steam inhalation and went off into the ditch in high weeds/grass and won't be seen/found until the highway mowing crews work that road. So much for early deer season this year...
