This install was performed on my 2012 5.7L Rock Warrior Crew Max.

Parts included in kit from @Coupe - Link to sale thread:
    • (1) Battery hold down bracket
    • (2) j-hooks
    • (2) padded washers
    • (2) lock nuts
    Tools and extras needed:
    • 10mm socket or wrench
    • 11mm socket or wrench
    • Battery acid neutralizing spray
Ok this is an easy one guys. I don't have much in terms of progress pics for this one either.

    1. Use a 10mm (TBC) socket or wrench to remove the negative terminal.
    2. Use a 11mm (TBC)socket or wrench to remove the positive terminal.
    3. Use a 11mm (TBC)socket or wrench to remove the existing j hooks. In my case i had to remove the wing nuts by hand.
    4. Clean the stock battery with acid neutralizing spray. (Or install a new battery like i did and clean the battery tray and under the tray before installing the new battery).
    5. Hook the new j-hooks in place and set the new battery hold down bracket so the holes line up with the j-hooks. Should be centered on the battery.
    6. Use a 11mm (TBC) socket or wrench to tighten the bracket down to the new battery.
I went a step further and replaced the stock terminals as well.

The hold down sizes were created for stock Tacoma and Tundra batteries. Some aftermarket batteries are slightly narrower in size like the Northstar battery that i installed. Because of this there is a little bit of overhang.
I know @Coupe is working on an updated version of the bracket that will allow for adjustment for the narrower batteries.
Despite the slight overhang the battery is fully secure in place and i have no worry of it moving at all either.

Or you could go old school..... Use baking soda/water to clean the corrosion and a light coat of petroleum jelly to protect. Much cheaper and IMHO works just as good.

To the OP...I do like that holder and the terminals, though!

Received the first of the adjustable @Coupe battery hold down brackets. Looks awesome and very beefy.

Completed the install of the new bracket. It fitns nice and tight with the skinny width of the battery and the handle on one side. Definately not moving now. Great design.
Need to trim the jhooks down a bit. Dimensions provided to coupe so when others order it will be the right length.

Just realized I put it in backwards from where I had it before.

Having that large of a positive battery terminal exposed would make me nervous. Am I missing something obvious?
