Where should I buy a complete rear bumper kit from?

    I have a rusty a$$ rear bumper on my truck and I need a whole new assembly. Where it attaches to the frame it's all rusted to hell. Thankfully only the bumper is rusty and not the frame. Anyways, where should I buy a kit from? Give me some suggestions. I'm going for an OEM look not some crazy high clearance bumper.. thanks!

    I started to look around locally for a fabricator to make a simple tubular bumper. Besides that, iirc it was <$200 or even less than that to replace the chrome piece.

    I almost went to the junk yard to get one but the pics of the ones there were pretty rusty but not as holey

    This is really a good deal a friend of mine got recently.
    Also came with the steel member that the bumper attached to. A separate part that cost me about 400.00 from the dealer 2 years ago. A separate part I needed when I wanted to get rid of a rusted oem trailer hitch and go with a aftermarket.

    So it comes with the parts that bolt onto the actual frame? I need the whole complete assembly. Maybe u haul would sell that?

    UHaul would not have the bumper reinforcement for a 1st Gen Tundra. They WOULD have a trailer hitch for it though....


    The Amazon bumper is the one to get, since it comes with the inner braces, bumper reinforcement bar, new mount brackets and the new step caps.

    Yes, The brackets that attach to the frame and then the support bar that attaches to the brackets. Then the actual bumber that goes onto that.
    Dont understand uhaul comment. Dont think they sell bumbers?
    Did yours come with a oem trailer hitch?

    If so you you dont need these extra parts that come with it. All that is built into and combined with the hitch.
    If not then you would use the extra parts.
    Or if your oem trailer hitch needs replacing like mine did. Then you would use the parts and get a seperate triler hitch. This is the one I got.

    So this bumber comes with the Reinforcement sub assy- Toyota #52043-0C030 which is 273.00 and 2 of the frame brackets toyota #52016-0C010 for 76.00 each. If you did order from toyota over 400.00 with shipping. Then still need the bumper.

    If you try to get the oem trailer hitch. I think that was 1200.00 plus.

    Dude, thanks a bunch! So is it pretty easy to do? I saw a youtube video where this kid replaced his tundras bumper but only the cosmetic part of the bumper ( the outer shell) so no the part that goes to the frame. That looked slightly challenging. Does this job involve pretty much just taking like 6 bolts out and simply unbolting the rear bumper? Thanks again

    Removing the complete assembly is very easy, as long as you can get the 10 bolts out of the Left and right bumper arm brackets, where they mount to each frame rail. IIR, those are either 14mm or 17mm bolts that go into the frame. Lots of heat and PB Blaster will help break them loose. The rest Of the hardware on the old bumper will all be replaced, so no need to try and save those..

    Oh, and make sure to gently remove the wiring harness from underneath, as it's attached to that frame reinforcement bar.

    Did you rub it down with grease, or a pb blaster coating before you put the chrome "trim" on? Spray inside tubes?

    To prevent this one from rusting away too...

    Looking through your bumper hole where ball goes looks like bare metal.

    I put grease on the inside of the bumper. I bought it as the whole bumper assembly that attaches to the frame
