    Hi Everyone!
New 2005 Tundra Double Cab owner here.
I've decided to replace the factory JBL head unit (radio, cd, and CASSETTE!) with an aftermarket one so that I can have Bluetooth and a backup camera. I bought a Pioneer unit and what I thought was the right harness but turns out it wasn't right and also that I might have gotten into more than I originally thought was going to be a quick and easy job. From my research, I think there might be a JBL amp somewhere??? but it's not behind the rear seats. Also, I have no idea what harness I need, since the one I ordered doesn't fit. I'm sure I am not the first person to run into these issues, so any links to previous threads or advice would be great.
    Thanks for your time.

See if this helps you with locating the amp - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMbZNdReTOw

If not - hopefully someone shows up who can help more.

The video purplenova posted should be correct then. I posted a bunch of documents in the other thread. You can also refoam your JBL speakers if you don't mind the JBL head unit and don't care about modern conveniences :)

Did you take the panel of the back of the cab under the window to look for the amp. My 06 DC with JBL system had the JBL mounted the back cab wall behind the drivers side rear seat back.

This is what you use if you want to keep the factory amp working. If not you’ll end up replacing all your speakers because you won’t like the audio. I used to work for an audio shop and they’re easy to use.
    Good luck!

Ps. Check Amazon out a local audio parts supplier. Usually cheaper

Thanks for the reply. I ended up calling Sonic Electronix and they advised me to buy the following...

Hopefully, this will all be fairly simple to install.
Thanks again for all the help!

Hi Mash, I'm trying to do the same thing. Did it end up working out for you with this equipment?
