I guess we need to start a parts# tread for the Sequoia's. This are the parts I inquired or purchased for my 2012 Platinum. Some of this part# are based on my VIN and not generic across all Sequoia Trim Levels.

@SprinterAE86 Did you install those running boards on your Sequoia? Been thinking about removing ours all together and getting a more off-roadish replacement. Any chance you can share a picture of what they look like installed?

Buyer beware on these. I installed them in June of 2019. I don’t know when it happened, but I noticed a few weeks ago that the lens had fallen out of one of them. When I took them out to replace them the plastic was brittle as hell. Definitely a cheap option and were still functioning, but not a long term solution.
I replaced them with Vled puddle lights which ran me 60 bucks. Hopefully they hold up well.

Our Sequoia didn't come with puddle lights, but i ran VLED puddles earlier this year. $60 was definitely worth it.

I'd say it's not difficult, but it's a little complicated hooking up the correct wires. I did all the install myself and then took it to a buddy to tap into the correct circuit.
Here's the link for the install, it's pretty straight forward, just take your time.

    Hi all,

New to the forum. Just purchased a 2017 Sequoia Platinum. I would really like to get rid of all the chrome. Are the parts listed at the top of the thread 100% swappable (unbolt old bolt in new) with the sequoia OEM parts? I am specifically looking upgrade my grill.

I have a 2018 Platinum and have ALMOST gotten rid of everything black. Looks like you have the grill part numbers. I have the numbers for the letter/emblem overlay kit, rear hatch garnish, Pro Fogs with bezels, mirror caps, door handles, and lower grill if you need them.

I've swapped out everything except the lower grill at this point. Ordered the Pro Fogs with bezels and waiting for them to come in currently. Once I get those installed I'm going to figure out a way to slide the lower grill past the wife before christmas (fingers crossed)!

I overlooked your post from before. I believe the 2nd/3rd gen Tundra DC running board mounting points are very close or even exact based on my visual comparison.

I have not installed my step bars yet. The current weather is not favorable to work outside and there's no garage where I currently staying.

Yes. Assemble the grill and grill molding together. Secure with a 20mm metal screw and mount the whole thing as one.

    Great thread!

I’ve only just started trying to gather parts and things seem to be tricky up in Ontario. We have a 2015 Limited. Black badges and the TRD pro grille parts are what I’m currently after.

I have the part number, been looking at a few local Toyota dealers and they all seem to scratch their head or say its not available for purchase.

Can you recommend a parts supplier more local to Canada, Ontario specifically? I looked into sparks but is there a supplier on this side of the border? I’m 100% good with ordering through sparks but they said there is a bit or a lineup for the grille. Thanks.

When I called Charlottetown Toyota in PE, to get pricing one the parts, they said that they can get it, but have to pay parcel and import fees since it's coming from the states. Sparks Toyota does ship to Canada is what I understand, but shipping is going to be a pain. Try doing ebay or Amazon US that ships to Canada.

I manage to get most of the parts I need before moving to PE, but I should have gotten more parts, since the availability is still limited here in Canada.

It really does, thanks! I appreciate you sharing your similar struggles. I’ve been trying local and I’ve seen the ebay ad, that one specifically, that’s an actual dealer who I guess has it in stock ready to ship? I don’t use ebay but it seems to be the best option.

I like those Limited emblems. It’d be nice to do a full swap of all the emblems. Can’t wait to de-chrome this beast!

    Thanks again,

I’d be interested in seeing a sport grille on a 08-17, ultimately the new nightshade edition grille. I think I like the trd pro overall but its hard to say without seeing it.

    Sport grill works too.

Have you tried posting your question to the Canada region threads? I just moved to Canada last October. I'm still learning where and how to get things.

I haven't yet but good info in there!

Wonder if it make more sense to order direct from Elmhurst. Their site lets you search up everything, had both grille items in the cart. $700, I think that covers shipping and duty but still unsure. Might have to give them a shout. They are in Chicago which is a bit closer to home.

That’s from Elmhurst Toyota, I’m hoping after conversion and duty and everything else. I would assume shipping would be the same as sparks.

First off I wanted to thanks all of you for putting together this list of parts to bring our rigs back to life. I own a 2012 Black Platinum Sequoia and in the last month I have updated the grill, headlights, fog lights, mirror covers, door handles, and rear license molding trim. I'm basically removing all chrome trim pieces from it.

I wanted to share the mirror covers and handle part numbers on this thread. Color is 218 Attitude/Midnight Black.

    Part Number Part Name Quantity
    87945-0C040-C1 Outer Cover 1
    87915-0C060-C1 Outer Cover 1
    69210-0C030-C1 Handle, Outside 4
    69217-0C060-C1 Handle Cover 3
    69217-0C050-C1 Handle Cover 1

Next on my list is to plasti dip with matte black all chrome emblems. Not sure yet about the wheels/tires. Very happy with the outcome so far after 7 years of ownership.

Just purchased a 2021 Sequoia TRD Sport for my wife, she loves it. So far I have added the following:

    TRD PRO Grill
    3 inch lift
    Nitto Grapplers
    Black Rhino Abrams
Pulled the chrome off the front bumper and professionally painted in semi gloss
    Tint
    Weather tech mats

Looking for a good aftermarket set of rock sliders, anybody have any suggestions?

The Tundra DC belly pan are the same as the Sequoia and the steps are the same length too based on my observation. If you find something in a Double Cab you like, it will fit just right with the Sequoia.

If you buy aftermarket sliders would you be interested in selling those stock black running boards you currently have? Think about and shoot me a PM and we discuss cost, shipping, etc.
