They cleaned it up really quick to see if it would still shine.

I'd be tempted to do paint correction and leave it with the rot in the rocker if it's intended as a flip, but that's just me :D

With it being single-stage, I wonder if you could do the rocker replacement repair and get a rattle-can of touch-up to feather-in the paint on your own?

There are two lights. The main lighting is from a larger bulb that illuminates the letters/etc. The little activation light when depressed is some crazy little bulb @Tundra2 should know.

The activation bulb should be a solder on LED like this one.

@theblurry1 has a good thread on replacing those. Looks involved.

    Long post.

Speaking of party hard, I'll tell a story from last nights shenanigans...

Bonfire is lit, and drinks are flowing like water. All kinds of drinks. Everything under the moon is being mixed, and matched.

Rum, coke. Moonshine, stupidity. Corona, lime. Beer, Beer. Crown Royale, big dumb.

We are all absolutely schlammered. Lil bro is cooking hot dogs, and franks. All talking, and swapping stories. Having good ole time, and laughs aplenty.

I lean back in my reclining lawn chair, and then nod off...

I slowly come to to the sound of my dog, tex growling at something in the woods... I open my eyes, and scan around. All the tiki torches are out except for one. The fire is now a hot coal ned glowing red, and organe. Dimly lighting a 5 foot radius around it. Nobody is around, "how long was I out?" I don't know. I turn on my headlight and look towards Tex. I don't see anything. Kinda freaked out, and super schlammered. I look up into the trees, and don't see anything.

No eyeshine anywhere. The only thing that doesn't have true eyeshine is people... or maybe a squatch. I don't hear anything. No birds, no crickets, no anything. Usually means there's a predator about. Or maybe its just night time. I wasn't sure. Hell, I was drunk.

I get up, and stagger to the drinks. Start gathering things up, and take a big swig of shine. Ooh, I'm feeling good now. Lol

Put them in the bed of the mule. Stagger to the food, and gather that up. Put it in the mule. I gather up the chairs, and put them in the mule.

I stagger to the mule, and I get in. I turn it over, and turn on the headlights. I sit there for a minute, and think "Should I really do this?" Oh well. I slap her in low gear, and disengage the parking brake. Slowly take off. Tex is running beside me. Still eyeballing the woods.

I drive down the yard towards the woods, and then turn up the hill. Tex is staying between the woods, and me.

I get up the house, and gather the food, and precious dranks. I stumble to the house, and pause when I get to the door. Again I'm dumbfounded by how quiet it is. Normally there would be frogs croaking, or crickets.

I go in, and then put up all the stuffs. Lay down on the couch, and then fell into the floor. Thats where I slept.

Sorry! I mean I didn't care long enough to find out. I'll check my cameras when I get home, but they aren't on that side of the property.

Maybe it was a bobcat momma. I saw a cub not too long ago. Boy, that would have been some nice stuff to wake up to.

Wow. Not that long ago we were setting record highs, and competing with AZ for highest temp. Now we just broke a record low, and I'm wondering if we have the lowest temp today. Welcome to west Texas.

I think @Tundra2 was seeing Sasquatch Man doing his best runway walk pose in the woods and thought he was at a Victorias Secret Show.

Whats the best seal/gasket maker for the Water Pump Rectangle Connection? I have plenty of Toyota FIPG 103 if this is good for that zone. Or, should I use the Permatex Gray? Reccos?

Ooh, that's a question I had as well. I saw that the Toyota green gasket goo was recommended because other formulas would not play nice with the long life coolant. That stuff is $60 per toothpaste sized tube!

Does anyone else forsee a terrifying future of cars we can't work on ourselves in the next 20 years? Cars that can be immobilized by the push of big brothers button. This is why I must establish a good income to purchase good used 90s toyota cars and pickups. As they will be the only cars around that have a soul. It's already happening with the farming community with John deer and their repair monopoly. Sooner than later were all going to be driving around these crazy stupid complex zero fun machines. Anyone?

We have already arrived into this dystopian future. Skynet already controls us via OnStar, we can't even change batteries in the new BMWs without updating its specific capacity, chemistry, etc, by bringing it into the $tealer to program... (btw, this can be DIY with appropriate canbus cable and software)

I'm with you, though. Thinking of preparing for the zombie apocalypse, getting older cars that don't use computers that are susceptible to EMP attacks/radiation from nuclear blast...
