I just received my Nitto terra grapplers 295/70R/18's , can I put these on my stock TRD rims without spacers? I have already removed all the mud flaps and installed Bushwacker flares.

I think they'll hit the UCA. But, you can try.

You can, but I would HIGHLY recommend wheel spacers. 1.25-1.50" for a much more aggressive look but most importantly because your tire will sit not even a finger width apart from your UCA. But I do not think it will hit it. My uncle has a '16 pro with stock wheels, no spacers, and 295/70/18 trail grapplers and it just sits very close to the UCA but has never physically touched it..

Thanks Matte, obviously spacers are cheaper than new rims and I believe the stock TRD PRO wheels are a +60 offset, so in theory I could achieve the same spacing with a +18 offset wheel as I would with 1.25" spacer....is my theory accurate?

No, that will put you at about a +28 offset.

    1.25 x 25.44 = 31.8mm
    60 - 31.8 = 28.2mm

Thanks Joon, I have read most of these forums and honestly my head is spinning....lol, a +28 makes the wheel closer the frame than a +18 would if I am correct. So now my question is, with these 295/70/18 tires, whats better, a +28 or +18? keep in mind I only have the 2" leveling done. I dont want to do the CMC but I am not opposed to a little plastic trimming if needed.

I also read that Bilstein 5100's could also be a cheaper way to get some lift, but does that provide any more clearance?

Yes, it'll be 10mm more tucked in than the +18. And yes, I think you're better off with the +28. You'll have less rubbing the more it's tucked in. But you're still going to have quite a bit of rubbing. Here's mine, +25 with that same size tire.

Removed my mudflaps and trimmed the front liner and pushed it forward and re-drilled. But I have a 3" lift and I'm still very close to the cab mount. I also have Cooper STT Pros, which run a little bigger and they're mud terrains.

bigger as in taller or more wide? I have the same wheels but with 295/70 Ridge Grapplers. I haven't installed them yet but I'm wondering if they'll sit outside the fenders like yours.

Taller. It's basically 34.5". Yours will stick out the same as mine. If it's different, you won't notice it by eye.

should I add the Bilstein 5100's and the spacers, or do you think its better to get the offset rims with or without the 5100's?

Okay, hold on. You have a Pro, right? In your sig, what does the 2" level mean? Are you talking about your Pro suspension or did you raise it some more with a spacer lift?

I just have the standard PRO suspension which I believe is the 2" level.

Yea, Pro is level so it's +/- 2" taller than stock. NO WAY should you swap Pro shocks for 5100s. For one thing, it won't get you more lift and 2nd it's a downgrade. You can put shims on top to get more height but you should really call Dave at Coachbuilder first. Ready lift also makes a lift for the Pro and the one example I know of resulted in the guy getting rid of his truck because it made the ride so bad, read that in a thread here.

Okay, got it. You don't need to write that, everyone already knows the Pro is leveled and it makes it sound like you put on a 2" spacer lift or something. So first of all, your Pro suspension is much better than 5100's, no way should you swap that out. You probably have 3 choices from there.
    1) Just put the tires on as is and see if it rubs your Upper Control Arms. If you don't rub, you'll be extremely close and should be good.
    2) If it does rub or you want more of an aggressive look, get wheel spacers
    3) Get new wheels
Any of these 3 you will probably have to deal with some rubbing, but the more tucked in you are, the less rubbing you'll probably have to deal with.

@Ricechex21, the 5100's you read about are for people with non-Pros with crappy, low, stock suspension. You can just completely get them out of your mind. :D

Thanks Joon, I am obviously trying to avoid a CMC, not sure why, I just dont want to cut on it. I was looking for a way to get some added lift but in no way want to ruin the suspension in the process. I will try the tires as is and will probably get some spacers in case it rubs. I am also looking at some +25 offsets. I do want the more aggressive look, but not with a lot of lift, just trying to figure out the best way to achieve this without too much chopping.

Oh @Ricechex21, I just noticed you have bushwackers. You should definitely get some wheel spacers atleast if you keep your stock wheels. With your flares it will look way too tucked in without them. I'm sorry I have no experience with flares so I don't really know how much you need your wheels to stick out, but I would think +25 would be the minimum. Since @Matte Tundra put on +18's without a CMC, I would aim for something near there.

Beautiful truck man. I love the set up. How do those tires ride? I'm going back and forth between these tires and the nitro trail grapplers in a 285/55/20. I know the trail grapplers are a little loud on the freeway.

Thank you. I love them. I had the trail grapplers on my 2015 trd, but these are still very aggressive, much more quiet and smooth, and great overall. Definitely happy with them.

That's great. How have they been wearing? That tire has a little funky tread pattern, so I'm a little concerned about how it wears.

Truck looks awesome! Do you think the leveler system for the front would have eliminated the rubbing? I really don't want to hack up my Pro and I am looking to go with 295-55/60-20 ridge grapplers on 20-9 +20 wheels.
