So just got her back yesterday, and just not too thrilled yet?! Took measurements before and after, just looks a bit too high in the front as I wanted a bit of rake.

    Driver Front - b 21.75" / a 25.5" - Psnger Front - b 22.25" / a 26"
    Driver Rear - b 24.5" / a 25.5" - Psnger Rear - b 24.5" / a 25.5"

Per measurements, its pretty level except for Passenger front. View from the front looks WAY off!!

Question, will coilovers settle much over time?! Maybe I need to go with 1.5 or 2" shackles?! I do plan to do some trailer towing, so looks like I'm going to have some Cali Squat right now LOL

I don't think they will settle. Definitely a 2 inch if you want rake..

Definitely nose high with the Toyota drivers side lean. You need a 1/2” shim on the drivers side to level it out. Or turn the collar down one turn on the passenger side since you think your too high.

If you want a cheap fix, get a tough country add a leaf to get another 1.5” in back.

So she looks better after a small trip offroad, more passengers ridden, and 300 miles over the weekend. Still leans on the driver side, with only 1/2" or less difference. Front view looks off still but oh well. Its pretty level! waiting for sliders to arrive and be installed and then tires!

Looks good. Just give the drivers side 1/2 turn more it’s easy to do.

Thanks! Yeah I'll have to look it up, want to firm it up a bit too. It's a bit mushy?! when its coming to a stop. It does a little front to back rocking thing that I'm noticing. But it might go away if I can bring the nose down a bit.

I installed the same fox front coilovers. They came from factory way too high. I lowered the passenger side down to showing two threads. My drivers side has roughly seven to account for gas tank drivers side lean.

Also, your rear shocks are tightened too much on the top. The bushing should not be crunched like that. I believe the directions said that the top bolt should show 5/8 inch of threads but take a look if you have the directions. The bushing should barely be squeezed.

Gotcha, yeah let me see if I can dig up the documents that would have come with the kit, as I had a shop install it. Thanks!

It's really easy (I apologize if you already know this stuff). Jack up one side of the truck til you can spin the front tire. Make sure the threads are clean (maybe spray with power washer) (don't wanna turn the collar with dirt/mud). Spray wd-40 on the threads below and above the collar. Loosen the set screw maybe 3/4 of a turn (hopefully the shop installed them with the collar set screw facing forward). I use a harbor freight 3/8 punch to turn the collar and it works great ( ). Make sure you put the punch all the way in or you will kinda break the plastic around the collar holes.

Thanks, no didn't know that! Sounds easy enough. I sold most my garage and tools when we recently moved that's why I had the shop install it. I haven't had a chance to really look at the collar but will later this week. I'd loved to get under there and tweak it but I'd have to buy more tools, which the wife wouldn't be happy with. Lol especially after getting the lift kit installed.

Yep, you just don't want to loosen the collar set screw too much. Only enough to move the collar with some muscle. Too loose and it can jump the threads and you're in trouble.

Looks pretty sweet. I installed the same kit in my 2019 sport and ended up tightening the drivers ring 3 turns and added a 1” rough country spacer in the rear. Alignment is great and sits with slight rake forward so sits level with the trailer hooked up or the Costco haul loaded up. A8EAEF4A-674B-4CE4-8C50-310DC59E00A4.jpg

Looks great! Thinking about getting at Coachbuilder shackle later on, depending on how she looks after some towing in the next few weekends. I'd hate to waste the BDS shackle, maybe I could resell it. We'll see how it goes.

So, I just installed the same kit last weekend and my feeling at first was that there looked to be a little bit of squat. Now it could be since I have always had a bit of rake it looks a little odd being leveled. Did yours ever settle? If not, were you able to make a change to get the slightly raked look you wanted?

Hey Dave, they're right, it doesn't settle much. After about a month of driving around, I got used to it. Its been over a year?! now and depending on the angle it looks a bit nose high. I want to replace the real shackle with a 1.25" or 1.5" coahbuilder, but havent gotten to it yet. Here's a pic of the truck 6 months after install. It looks good but if bed is loaded or I'm towing anything, it squats in the rear.20191023_131148.jpg

Thanks for the reply "T". Your Tundra looks leveled nicely in that picture! I just removed my old struts, shocks and UCA's yesterday out of the bed so hoping that with the weight removed it will help some. I too wondered if the 1.25" coachbuilder shackles would make enough of a difference or not. I'm thinking if I'm going to invest another $300 I might go with the 1.75

I see that you're in the Northeast Bay and I was trying to see if I knew where that Ike's sandwich shop was at in post #4. Never figured it out … but I'm in CC County so maybe some day I'll see you around.

My Toytecs didn’t settle very much at all, maybe a 1/4”. But I have them set right at 3”of front lift and have CB +2 Shackles with 1.25” lift and am sitting at about 7/8” of front rake. Not familiar with BDS, are they adjustable while on the truck? I have the Toytecs dialed in from side to side as well because the have the spanner disc adjustment.

Yeah hopefully it does. I do miss a bit of rake so yeah 1.75 might work!

Lol yeah that Ike's is in Davis! For sure, I'm usually driving all around the Bay area, not so much lately since Covid but I still am out and about!

I haven't had a chance to play around with it but you can adjust them while on the truck.
