Having spent plenty of time in Bahrain/Kuwait/Oman/UAE, I can tell you that your intake temps are probably that high. Highest I can recall was 127F in Kuwait. Luckily we were in an SUV driving to get groceries in Kuwait City, so our time outside the car was limited.

Hope you get your pinging situated.

Yeah that's the peak outdoor temps under the sun during these months especially in the afternoon, however I reckon intake may also get affected by the surrounding hot air spewed out by the engine fan. One thing I can certainly say about these 3UR engines is that they take the heat pretty well. Never seen the engine temps moving even with AC at full blast.

Do you know how long it normally takes to get a new reg file? I want/need to take my truck into the dealership, and would like to take off the tune, just in case, but don't want to setup the appointment until I can flash back to stock.

    Usually a day or two.
I’ve never gone back to stock tunes to go into the dealership.

I figured that most don't, but I have warranty left, and even if they flash over the tune, I want to be able to flash it back. But thank you for the response. I'll just sit here and wait like a good little boy, lol.

If I do not get a reply to my Zendesk submission from last Sunday the 23rd I will have to go back to stock. Without pushing the Tow button the tranny does not want to shift well at all. When the Tow button is pressed it shifts but holds the gear way too long but if I have the Tow button pressed and in S mode and I put in S6 it shifts fine

Tony, just like I messaged you, there is only so much that I am capable of doing. I set the tune up to your mods, I setup the shift points as requested, and you should not be using tow / haul button for S mode if you're trying to gearlock.

Tow mode has always held gears longer. This is nothing new...
And you have 5.29 gears, on a tundra. Your RPMs are going to be higher.
I put the features on top of the tune you already had. So not really sure what to do from this point.

Also. We fully expect to have remaining ECUs out (with the tune modifications people requested) by the end of this month.
Please understand what we have been doing since july.
We took the time from July to prepare all OEM/Stock files with our features.
Now, we are using this month (with the exception of about a week to dissect one ECU) to Apply that to YOUR tunes, including log review, updates etc.
There are more than 100 actively tuned tundras by us.

Going forward into september, we work on releasing all ECUs in vF Tuner, and the community / users can go forward from there.

Additional custom tuning is not planned past that point.

    @OVTune

Greets once again. Thanks for sharing the a bit about what you've been up to in the recent weeks and what's on the horizon. Much appreciated.

On that note, I was wondering if you'd be interested in taking a gander at a couple of logs (that I would try to record this weekend) where I'm experiencing some unusual behavior on the tune that was sent out on 26 June?
A brief description of behavior is what I would call "rich stumbling on cold start", and "rich stumbling on restart of short hop not quite at operating temp". Alternatively I could simply wait to see if the behavior continues on the pending update. I just didn't know if you wanted to indulge the distraction. No CEL codes. ECU YWF63.

    Thanks man.

So I guess even though my tune is BROKEN, I didn't make the list of guys who received an update yesterday or today.

Since I have to leave early for a trip to the mountains and it is imperative that I be able to downshift manually, I'll flash back to a previous version so my truck will be DRIVABLE again and I will ever so PATIENTLY wait for you to BLESS me with your attention.

I can't believe I wasted my money on you

Your tune isn't Broken. You had one version with a bug.
I'm really not surprised you'd be mouthing your complaints again.
Tundra world doesn't revolve around you. I sent the same ECU version to another person and am waiting to hear back if it fixed it.

The exact reason I did NOT sent it to you is because of posts like this. When something doesn't go the way you like, you forum tantrum.

So, when the other guy with same ECU version confirms it works, you'll be updated.

I'll take a look. The trans features wouldn't really do anything to start up, so if it's an issue needing addressed I'll check.
Although it's a bit weird because those TRD files are pretty well setup fuel wise and I don't mess with that stuff.

    Any mod changes?

    ECUs expected for release today:
    0C594
    0C604
    0C851
    0CK06
    0CA43
    0CA63

    2019
    0CP50

Also if your ECU IS 0CM51 (Flex fuel) you had this feature for a while, but we do have an update for this ECU. We will be sending out to everyone with this ECU version as soon as possible.

I'll try to squeeze this one in there today. I've been sending ECUs based on the amount of additional customization / log / update required.

I am sending out 2019 files right now (for everyone)

I’m not 100% sure which ECU I have, here’s the screenshot.
    (I’m assuming 0CR71)

Any idea how far along the line you are with this model?

    oh hell yeah.

and this may be a completely elementary question, that I’ve missed/forgotten throughout this entire thread:

1- This tune that you’re sending out, you’ve already done your own base tune in addition to the transmission stuff (GL/DS)?
What octane Are you tuning it for? I’m assuming 87?

2- Does this baseline have the two separate tunes- 1 without pressing tow/haul, and another with pressing tow/haul? Or is that second tow/haul tune/map something that we need to specify in zendesk?

3- if we wanted the tune to be setup for higher octane, is that something we let you know in zendesk?

    thanks bud.

I upgraded my shocks... ;) No mod changes. I'll take a shot at trying to catch the anomaly in a brief log or two for you and send it to ZenDesk with any other seemingly relevant perceptions. :hattip:

My apologies for not getting your E-mail until this morning, I am in a cabin in Sedona and my connection sucks but finally got 201 E-mails to download today.

Obviously the Gear Lock is something that is causing the problem because it will not shift in regular old stock mode so I have to use S mode. That is not touching the Tow button and it will not shift.

In the E-mail you asked why I had the Tow button pressed while driving on the highway. That is the only way to access my tune since without pressing Tow it is stock (still trying to figure out the dual tune if I cannot feel a difference without pressing Tow.

I will opt out of the Gear Lock since I do not tow and have no plans of ever towing with this truck
