    • Just a couple disclaimers: I have spoke briefly with Dustin at FN wheels and he was open to the idea of getting 17s in stock again, but made no promises.
    • No money or orders will be collected through this thread, it's just to see if they're are enough of us that want these wheels to even bother with an order thread.
    Update 9/9:
    • Good news, spoke with Dustin today and confirmed both the 5 star and Six Shooter are coming back. Currently with an ETA of early spring 2021. I know its a bit of a wait, but they will be worth it. I should be in touch with him in another few weeks or a month or so, as it gets closer to their re-release I will either create a new thread for a formal group buy or will put all the pertinent info for purchase here in this thread. Thanks for the interest guys, Dustin has heard you and is excited to be giving you another 17" option that will exceed the current markets quality standard in load rating and weight savings.

SO, If anyone is interested in getting a set of 17 inch FN wheels, please post here, or share with anyone else who might be. Maybe, just maybe if we get enough people together we might have a chance at getting an order.

The two wheels FN used to make in 5x150 17" were the Six Shooter and the Five Star, both weighed considerably less than just about any other 17" in the same price market. FN wheels continue to be near the best you can get for value, price to quality and weight.

The 5 Star was a classic 5 spoke design, weighed in at just about 21 lbs.

The Six Shooter is similar in design to the Rays TE37, it also weighed around 21lbs.

So again, if you're interested in either of these please post here, or share with anyone who might be. I cant promise that we will have 2 choices in the end, so please be open to both designs. What ever we end of with a majority of, assuming we get any interest, I will present to Dustin and see what happens.

    Thanks Guys.

Note to the Moderators: If this post is in violation of any rules please let me know, I will gladly either change what is necessary or remove the post content if no solution is available. Thanks.

What kinda pricing are you looking at? And how do these compare to the Method wheels? I’ve been looking pretty hard at the Method 701s, but these 6 shooters look good too.

I cant speak to pricing, nothing like that has been discussed. I can estimate them somewhere around the $1000 for a set of 4, but that's no guarantee. They wont be overpriced compared to the relative market. They will be comparable to the Methods in price.

Comparing them to Methods I can say they will be lighter than Methods only real light weight option for us, the Method 313. The Method 313 weighs 24lbs, whereas both the FNs are about 3lbs lighter. Load ratings are comparable. The offsets for the FNs are far more friendly to running 35s, but they wont be as aggressive if you want that poke. Methods are great wheels, but IMO FNs are more specified to our trucks and are better applications (not speaking of looks, which are personal taste). Both the Six Shooter and Five Star will be about 8lbs less than the 701s. Also, the 313s are about $1200 for the set, you pay a premium for those weight savings.

The downsides would be availability and options for looks. Even if this does happen, it might take a while to actually get them in hand. They're worth the wait though. Wheel weight does make a difference, as does fitment.

Well put me down as a maybe. I’m certainly interested. Really like the fact that they are light. Would love it even more if they had a “Bronze” finish available, but totally understand if they don’t.

Their site has been out of date nearly all the time. Similarly to SCS wheels, these usually sell out fairly quickly. The difference I suppose is that Dustin will put in the comments section whether colors are available or not, even if the site says out of stock. Their a small company and are very busy, calling the directly is always best. Again, if this comes to fruition, people will have to be willing to wait a while. This would have to go through the process of FN ordering them, then production and shipping. The end product is worth the wait. I've had SCS, FNs, and now Icons. I've seen plenty of other brands, and know plenty of people in the install field. FNs dont come with having to settle in any way, they're a solid product that I dare say are underrated.

    I'm in.

I called Dustin and asked him when he would have Five Stars in stock. He mentioned that he previously ran Five Stars on his own Tundra, but he regrettably sold his personal wheels to a customer. He had already sold his Tundra at the time and was saving the set for a future Tundra, but I guess he felt obligated to appease a customer. Now that he has another Tundra, he would like another set of Five Stars. Hope this thread gets him to order more!

They are a thousand bucks shipped in the US (999). If I ordered through this site as part of a group I'd need a lower price than whats advertised to everyone else. I mean that's the point of a bunch of people ordering at once am I right? With that being said if you get a group buy price Im in.

The current 17" Six Shooters and Five Stars are 8.5", for the Tacoma and 4Runner. If this happens they wont be 8", it will either be 8.5" or 9".

Can we not try for a whole lineup group buy?
I'm absolutely interested in some FXs, but in 18".
I don't think they have a massive operation going on at FN. Could we try for a group buy on their entire catalog?

This isn't a traditional group buy. We're asking Dustin to order a batch of 17s for us by creating this interest list. I believe it's something like 25-50 sets minimum order, and it took him years to sell the 17s he previously had in stock. That's why he isn't ordering more. Hopefully he sees this list and decides to be nice and order a batch.

    This. Thanks

I've been busy this week and will try to reach out to Dustin this week. Part of this is a consideration, I would like to have a solid number of people before presenting it to him directly. I will ask him about the possibility of including his 18" options, but I cant promise anything there. This is primarily about getting 17s made for those of us that want them. Dont worry though, I hear all of you and will bring it up.

If things dont pan out this week I know that next week is wide open for me and I can promise I will reach out to him by next week at the latest.

Thanks to everyone that is interested.
