Alright guys. I’m just about done blacking out my 2020 limited. Thanks to Roman, it’s worked out great. The last step (other than suspension) is to install the TRD Pro hood scoop. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I’m a little confused on the install. I purchased 8 nuts and 4 clips per Roman’s instructions. The front piece came with two T bolts. I’m confused. I’m assuming the 4 clips go in the green locations. The yellow spots look like they need the T studs and nuts. The blue spots look like they do also but are slightly different. Finally, do I just cut off the red tabs? I’ve looked high and low and can’t find this level of detail. I want to make sure I get it right before I start drilling. Thanks for any help!

 

i did mine maybe 3 months ago.. and yeah I grinder off the 3 tabs..

 

Thanks! How did you actually use the 4 tabs or did you use T bolts and nuts? If so, which locations?

 

@Roman Not exactly sure how this works but here is goes. Prob going to buy a 2016 Tundra MGM and want to replace the bulge/grill Big ugly Chrome Kit. I guess I want the Color matching TRD Kit. Can you let me know pricing, part #'s etc. on that?! thanks in advance

Unfortunately, Toyota does not sell those tabs separately from the hardware kit. You can buy the entire hardware kit from here: https://parts.toyotaofcoolsprings.com/oem-parts/toyota-hardware-kit-skid-pl-pt93834140hw or, what I would do, is grab one and match it up at a local parts house. They're a basic push-in style clip that should be pretty universal.

We took them out of the store. They're very large and awkward to ship, and are very easily damaged.

@Roman first off thanks for your endless help with our pitiful requests! Haha. I tried searching and only came up with the access cab part for some reason. Looking for the cab side full surround weather strip for the driver side for my 2006 DC as mine has a few chunks missing and tears.

@Roman Im trying to do a chrome-delete on a 2020 Tundra Limited similar to bferraiu. Local shop here in Montana says I cant swap grille due to the sensors. Ive been thru a ton of pages on this thread but cant find the part number(s) i need for a 2020. Truck is MagGrey but id like to go black on the grille/surround. Id like to swap to the Platinum style or TRD Pro.

Help much appreciated.

I backed into a tree in a dark parking lot on July 11th in my 2014 SR5.

My son has a 2000 Tacoma SR5 extended cab 4x2 with the engine model 2RZ-FE (2.4L). EDIT: It's a manual transmission.

His drivers side front upper and lower ball joints and outer tie rod need to be replaced. Can you get these replacement kits? What are the part numbers? If OEM is no longer available do you have any suggested after-market options?

Just to confirm, the Driver's side is the LEFT side for parts, right, uh correct?

 

That is correct. It's as if you are sitting in the vehicle. Left = driver's, right = passenger's.

 

Yeah...doubt many in Bozeman do this. Ordering through Roman will be the ticket.

 

Anyone know which one is the driver side fender extension (just below the headlight)? Kind of confusing with just left or right as the description.

Parts described as left or right are based on the drivers perspective, so the left one should be your driver side.
