OEM Dual Rear Console USB port

Does anyone know if Toyota makes a plug-n-play, dual USB port for the rear console? I'm pretty sure a USB charger is offered as an option on the rear console for new trucks and it may come standard on some trim models. My plans are to remove the 12v outlet and add a dual USB charger, but before I add a pigtail and start modifying the mounting plate to fit the slightly larger USB charger, I wondered if Toyota had a plug-n-play version that I could get that would utilize the existing electrical connector and existing 12v mounting hole? I'm sure it's pricier that aftermarket USBs, but if anyone knows the part number for it or can direct me on where to find it I would be appreciated.

I have the dual USB ports on the rear AC vents. Toyota most likely sells the kit to convert, but sounds like you want to keep the original circular mounting hole. I think it will be easier to get the adapters on Amazon. They sell very low profiles ones that does not stick out too far.

 

The Toyota kit to convert is what I am looking for, surely there is a part number for it somewhere.

I had already bought a (non-lighted) dual USB adapter off Amazon and was ready to install it, but I thought if the OEM dual port was easily obtainable, I might just go that route. The plastic bezel is available on eBay if I ever decided to go back to the 12v power outlet

 

I have been searching for the same. Still have not found a part number either.

 

I added one tapped off of the power source I used for my wireless charger allowing me to keep the 12v plug as well.



But I would like to see the factory replacement part which I did not know existed until this post.

 

I'm contemplating that install as well if I can't find the factory version. If a dual rear factory (OEM) USB doesn't exist, perhaps someone will chime in and verify.

 

I also added it to mine. I have 3 kids and I used to use a cigarette lighter type and in my old truck the port got very loose. I had an audio shop install and it was right around $100.

 

OK, did a bit more "Googling" and came up with these two Toyota (OEM) options. The first one was described in a previous thread on here, but I cannot determine if the charger will mount directly into the existing plastic bezel without modifications. You can find it here on this eBay link.

The second one can also be seen at this eBay link, but I cannot find an installation thread or information on whether it would be plug-n-play on the existing bezel in my truck. This one is pretty much what I am looking for provided I can get it to fit properly.

 

Mine came factory installed and looks like the on the photo but without the cover. It lights blue.

Found this one, that may fit the circular trim Southeast Toyota dual USB port.

Doesn't give Tundra install instructions but you might be able to infer based on the other models.

 

I have this one in my rear console. You remove the 12v outlet and this taps in to the wires. Not exactly plug and play, but easy to do and removable. Just have to look up how to remove the 12v outlet as there are little clips you have to push to get it out. But it was easy and took less than 1/2 an hour or so.

As I did not want to rewire anything, I bought this, as they are low profile and don't stick out and do what I need. The plastic lid on the truck doesn't close all the way, but these are slim, and don't protrude from the 12V outlet but by a few mm.

 

Is the light on all the time or just when the truck is running?

 

For that eBay one, it’s only on when the truck is running. Or when the outlet gets power if you rewire it to always be hot. It’s not bright at all though. You won’t see it in the daytime and only when it’s really dark out.

 

I like them off when the truck is off as to not accidentally drain the battery leaving something plugged in.

 

I agree. My truck is a garage queen and I would feel more comfortable knowing it was off

 

The lights are on when the ports are active, so at minimum when on auxiliary. It's not on when ignition is off, just like the 12V ports.
