I just ordered toyota part 00016-00225 integrated dual usb. I see that it can be easily installed in the rear console....has anyone tried installing in the front?

Where did you see the install info on the rear port. That’s the one I want to replace. Just want to make sure it’s plug and play. If not I’ll use the blue sea I have already

@Roman any idea If this part will fit in either the front panel or rear panel In place of a 12V on an 18 CM with bench seat?

Not plug and play. I cut off the old connector and crimped on new ones

It will work plan on doing the front as well. I ordered the back just to make sure it worked. The difference between the model number is the length of cord. Which you ordered. Mines was short didn't want to deal with cutting wire.

Tap in. I basically removed the 12v charger port which is still behind the cover, because I didnt want to make a hole in the cover for the dual charger. Also I had to make sure I could have my arm rest wireless charger hooked up as well.

This part fits perfectly into the factory 12v hole with zero modifications!

I bought these from Amazon, i did not have to cut the wires but did had to cut the plastic to separate the wires and trim the original hole less than 1/8th of an inch.

Yes..is the 2.1 amp vs 1.1 or lower.. make sure is 2.1 amps on each, sometimes they'll say 2.1 on one but not the other, or is 2.1 as long as there's only one device connected to the whole charger.

It does attach to the factory wires with taps right and not with the plug that’s there?

Did the same thing today. Figured while I did the wireless charger might as well as switch out 12 volt for the oem dual USB port. Didn’t know that was an option until this post. Thank you so much. These posts were very helpful.

On the rear USB Ports, does the cover open all the way. There are two versions of this kit….00016-00225 and 00016-325. The 325 kit specifies it is for a Tundra, the 225 does not. Looks like the only differences are the cover and a little longer power leads on the 225 version. I would rather have the kit with the cover to keep dust and debris out of the ports. Just curious if there is any interference with the cover.
