Next, I need to find a replacement for these puddle lights:

I think I’m going to go with the LumaWerks lights.

This may be kind of controversal, but I also followed in the footsteps of my 4Runner, for which I followed JA's site on the Hydrocarbon Filter removal. I'll quote him here...

You can find his page (with pics) here: Toyota 4Runner Hydrocarbon filter removal

Okay, I'm going to stop here. I was able to remove the HCF after having just unclipping the 4 clips. I hooked a screwdriver underneath one of the lips by the plastic rivets and just popped them out one by one. Didn't have to unhook anything...

Keep reading for the original instructions, though.

    6F10362F-85B3-4E7B-B898-9B366FF6C1ED.jpg

    AC28002B-90AE-44B3-B611-24C8BB9204D0.jpg

That was pretty much it. I reassembled and took it for a spin.

I'm not sure if it was just in my head, but I seemed to get more throttle response and it seemed like there was more power/faster acceleration. I'm not sure that is real, though.

Even if it's not, it makes me think it's helping, so I'll call this a win.

Finally, I gambled on painting the chrome mirror caps. After following the directions on getting the caps off the mirrors elsewhere on this site (thank you!) I scuffed they with sandpaper, cleaned with acetone, and hit them with 6 very light coats of this stuff:

    324A823B-136A-4B0E-B118-5C4FB2C3E2DF.jpg

I snapped them back in, and voila!

Yes, completely plug and play. You'll need to reuse some stock hardware to transfer to the SS3 lights but nothing too difficult. No trimming as well! Fit is perfect.

Also, I’m really digging the painted mirror caps. I’ll probably do the door handles next.

I don’t think these will fit yours without modifying or changing the bezel, if at all. The bezels and fogs are a different shape starting I believe in 2018.

Sorry, didn't notice you have the newer Sequoia. I think it may still fit, you just need to buy the bezel and maybe the fog light brackets for the older Sequoia's.

Replaced the gear oil in the front and rear differentials and the transfer case today. Used a total of 5.5 quarts or so of Mobil1 75w-90.

The only picture I snapped was that one of me filling the transfer case, but all went well.

Also, my oil was a little over serviced by CarMax. I used that as an excuse to spill about a half quart EVERYWHERE while I pulled out the 14 mm oil drain plug and inserted this:

I removed mine. It also helped that one side was removed when I bought the car so it was an easy decision to just remove the other side.
