2002 : Vibration while braking, not always there though. It certainly is more noticeable after the brakes are worked over a bunch.

Classic warped rotor? If so, will this kit be a good replacement:

BTW: my calipers are stamped 13WL, hence this kit over the 13we.

Also, easy enough for a shade tree mechanic? I seem to remember doing this on a pathfinder years ago and it was quite straight forward.

Very straight forward. Might as well clean everything up and spray paint all the paintable components while in there. Wire brush, rusty primer, and some GLOSS black will do it nicely. Make sure to buy some Sil-Glyde and grease all your slide pins and the backs of brake pads. Use Anti-Seize on your metal to metal mating surfaces like rotor to axle and wheel to rotor.

Never knew about the Pin/Pad Greasing until research. Makes and big difference in action of the brakes as well as sound reduction. My rear drums were squealing in harmony in reverse mode and a little grease quieted them.

Where did you grease the rear drums? My do the exact same thing, reverse only.

So I am not hijacking, it is a pretty straight forward job. I prefer to by my brake parts local so if they are wrong, it is easy to swap. Nothing like having a truck down for a few days waiting for online parts. Pickup a bottle of CRC Brake quiet, two cans of brake clean, rags, pads/rotors. I know some people will only replace one or the other but as cheap as they are, I always replace the pads/rotors together.

I’ll try pulling the FSM later, but here is a basic shot. The red dots are greased behind the shoe backing.

    Thank you.

I think as cheap as they are, I will probably just replace everything so I don't have to worry about it again.

I find it so fascinating how close the pads sit to the rotors when not in action

It freaked me out too, until I became internet expert.
